    Default Broad Valley

    Let me start by saying this project will be finished, its the only thing im running so it will be done. not like all the others that I've left.

    I've been working on it for a long time and I feel like it's time to make a thread, seen's as I haven't made any threads since I don't know when.

    The map is roughly 2x2, but by no means is it square. or round, just a weird shape I've created to give it a more Island type feel.
    I plan to have a few roads and bridges, maybe some dirt tracks depends how it turns out. I want to learn about Land Particles so the Volcano's on the map will smoke. There will be other objects added too, including vegetation.

    Maybe two versions, Fps and normal. Will release a Beta once I have finished with the Height-map and Texturing. still a long way to go before I start adding objects. I've been editing the
    height-map for the best part of a month. obviously with brakes in between. I'm hoping for a beta to come out around the 10th or before, no later.

    So some pics

    Oh one more thing, there are 3 main rivers and 1 gateway for bigger ships, the nordia express fits and will quite happily sit and turn around in the lake. I plan to have a few streams so that when on dirt trails you can splash in puddles.

    Current FPS, a consistent 460 in the gavril omega, I get 180 on penguinville for a comparison

    I see you combined 3 different climates from L3DT. Just be careful to ensure that the snowline height is consistent, and that the different climates are smoothly merged, or not to contrasting. Nice work though

    It's not staying, only the grass, rock, rivermud and sand in the pictures are what I have done, the snow is a default texture to when I started the map, there will only be one spot on the map where snow is thanks for the feedback

    Different trails of varying intensity for different vehicles including boats to challenge the skills of the driver.

    Great work so far!
    My prayers go out to all those affected by the tornadoes of 5/20/13.

    It looks great..
    for my taste, it has pretty much everything to be challenging..

    are those rivers deep enough for a submarine


    Question - did you do that road with l3dt or the cry sandbox?

    Question - did you do that road with l3dt or the cry sandbox?
    Did the road with LD3T and the rivers are big enough for small boats like in real life, the 2 wider gateways are deep enough for the nordia express which is a massive ferry

    Major progress, almost finished texturing the map, heightmap still to complete, you can see the road clearer and everything is nicely blending in at the moment, Beta should be out very soon
