Default Got a HP G6. But.

well i just got a HP pavilion G6 and i was wondering if theres anyway to turn of the on/off key. the key is F12 which toggles on and off wireless internet.

    Any help? Thanks!

I noticed on some newer laptops you need to hold the Fn (function) key to use the normal F keys.
I know it's strange. It should be the other way around, but I guess they figured they'd give users a hard time.

On my neighbor's brand new Lenovo pressing F3 disables the wireless adapter. Pressing Fn+F3 presses F3.
    Maybe this'll work for you.

There should be an option in the BIOS to turn of FN keys, so hitting F6 actualy does F6, and hitting fn+F6 will do the secondary feature.
