    Default Shock-Hydro's

    Hello,
I was just thinking, what if RoR had a section for hydros, but acted as shocks at the same time.
They would be able to expand and contract via a button press, but at whatever length, they would be bouncy.
It would kinda be like the air-ride systems on cars, they can be adjusted but still bounce.
This would make adjustable suspension so much easier. And would add a whole ton of possibilites.

Yeah like tmf45 said, this can be achieved by adding set_beam_defaults to your command beams. And I've done it in the past so I know it works.

I've used that method Dennis linked there ever since set_beam_defaults was possible.
Shocks and commands between same nodes, use the shocks to limit travel, use the commands as shocks.
There is no need to put it at the bottom of the file as Dennis says tho, since you can just use set_beam_defaults -1, -1, -1, -1 to get back to default values.

The method works fine as air suspension for trucks, 'hydraulics' for cars and similar.
    I'm watching you.

Nowadays with light cars the default value of 10000 damp may cause it to explode or become unstable in crashes etc.
I myself always copy the first Set_beam_defaults above the hydros when there isn't one directly above it, so it remains unchanged, but I figured it's easier for people to understand to simply put the commands section all the way on the bottom of the .truck file .
