Sorry for a late reply like this, but I just figured out what I think the problem is.
So anyway, I think that it's just the specularity of the windows. Does the opacity persist when you move the camera? If the opacity goes away that leads me to believe even more so that it's just the specularity. And if it does turn out to be the specularity, I think making a shader with less specularity than the base shader should fix the problem.
