    Unhappy Those fluffy clouds are teasing me...

    Up until a few months ago I didn't even know caelum had clouds...
    That all changed when I re-installed RoR.

    When I started it up, viola! Caelum had clouds! No more naked sky!
    I exited the game and came back... but they were gone.

    I have tried enabling EVERY setting (specifically particle systems) and they won't come back. I did some research and found this thread: how-do-i-get-the-caelum-with-the-clouds
    I assumed my graphics card didn't support clouds and gave up...
    But then yesterday while playing I noticed on certain maps there is the reflection of clouds in the water even though they aren't in the sky! And on vehicles with videocameras clouds show up in the sky.

    Could someone please clear things up for me- does or doesn't my card support clouds? (Nvidia GT520)
    Why did they show up in game once, and why do they show up in water and mirrors sometimes?!

    Have you tried unlimited sightrange? I just tried it in 0.38 and I get clouds working properly only with unlimited range. With 5 km, the clouds are only visible straight above. The default sky has a cloud layer at 3 km altitude, so with shorter range the clouds would not be visible at all unless you move the camera up.

    Water reflections seem to have unlimited clipping range. Seems like it could have a bad effect on FPS if the objects beyond sightrange are still rendered in the reflections..

    I wouldn't have ever guessed sightrange had anything to do with it.
