    Default Local/Global chat in Multiplayer

What if we had global chat and local chat?

Global chat: Just press Y, type your message, and hit enter as usual.

Local chat: Enter some sort of symbol and prefix and type your message after..... Example: ":l Hi there."

What would the symbol do? I kinda like what your saying, but could you explain it a little more?
    Constructive criticism :)

i thonk he means when you use the symbol such as # it makes it global ,so:

Hello, would only be broadcasted on the server your on.

#Hello, would be broadcasted over all RoR servers (or official servers).

Why would you want to send a message to another server than the one you are on? I can understand for the admins and mods if there is an important server message, but I don't see the point with normal players. Also, I don't think this would be easy to do, if even possible, unless you are using the computer that hosts the servers.

I think what he means is almost an IRC type thing. Like all the servers are connected to an IRC channel, and it's global. You can chat through the channel on your web browser or be ingame and chatting with other servers. And with the other option just have it so you only chat with your server, and not other servers.

No, I dont mean a IRC sort of thing. I mean if you do ":local [text here]" then only people within 10 meters of you could see the chat. Could be useful for those who like to roleplay in RoR
