    Default 2005 Chevy Colorado

    Hello,
This is my first vehicle I am attempting to make. I am making it in 3ds max. So far the mesh is done and if someone can say what I am doing right and wrong, that would be helpful. It will have Z71 offroad suspension.

    1.)Get sounds
    2.)Do flares
    3.)Improve mesh/performance of the truck

Your bumper is looking a bit rough around the fog light maybe round it better and fix the smoothing on the corner.

Yeah I know I'm having a lot of trouble with the little details since this is my first time. I'm going to find out how to do that.

I dont use 3ds max but try making the bumper shape then use a knife tool to cut the hole for the foglight

What program do you use because 3ds max is too hard.

I use blender it takes some getting used to but once you know your way around its a good program.

    Google search Blender Portable 2.49

2.49 cause the ror importers only work on that version.

I don't know much about 3ds max but i do know that it is similar to c4d wich is what i use.See if in your symmetry panel or drop down menu's(just look around and see if you have an object called a "BOOLE") if so you can use it to create perfect wholes of any shape in your mesh without all the slicing and dicing crap. The tool will also allow you to create the whole you need in your mesh in less then two seconds + you can set how many segments you want the whole to be.

No it doesn't have that tool, but thanks.

    More progress

    Finishing the front bumper

To do: the top, side, and rear

Estimated time till finish: Soon hopefully (with mesh)
The N/B is being made by someone which means the truck will be in game faster

Try to read at least the first post before you reply with a question.
