Hi again, friends.
A new terrain from me. I started to build this right after releasing Hillside, and now im at this point.
It's pretty similar to hillside, but its a lot bigger, wider roads and bigger mountains.
I have learned a lot what comes to terrain making and hopefully i don't make same mistakes what i did with hillside.
I got my inspiration from this video:
youtube.com/watch?v=NrNOc3sZYBY
It's going to have longer road, grass, stone walls, guardrails and also some gravel road as well it haves tarmac.
Also i'm going to model trees on my own, and add vegetation.
I was thinking to make mesh roads what you think?
And, yes, i don't have imagination what comes to names

Desperately trying to turn Rigs of Rods into a racing simulator since 2009
Indeed Except you don't want to mess with FPS of course...

Very nice stuff there and even better than your previous map

A meshed road is more FPS friendly than a map with a lot of tiles. Took Gabester's tracks, they are unplayable for me. Took a flat map with a lot of meshes, still playable for me.
Using a meshed road can allow the use of bigger tiles, to give a better FPS but creating a less detailed terrain.

Yes, that's true, but I was talking about leaving the same terrain resolution and then adding a road mesh, that will decrease FPS.
Thanks for your support again guys.
I'll definitely do meshed road, but i haven't been able to export my raw to blender, and i can't figure how to make meshed road without any model on base, you know what i mean.
And i'll do fps version too, i hate low fps i don't have a nasa computer either.

All yesterday i tried to make meshed roads, but it seems to be that i don't have enough skills or patience to it, so no meshed roads for now we'll see later. these non-meshed-roads are imo more driveable, altough they don't look that good.
Now i'm messing with grass and trees, let's see how they work out.
I also started to model the trees, they're not ready yet don't worry!

Wow... It looks amazing. Your last map (Hillside) seemed really short and flat, as in no vegetation. Also I think the roads needs to be placed just a tad above the land, so there would be a ditch on each side. I'm really excited for this map
