Propane Tank

Hey guys, the other day I was looking around for a propane tank in RoR, but I never could find one. So, I took it on myself to make one. Everything is all by me, and you can even change the color!

Features:

• Ties and ropables for lifting with a crane

• Simple n/b for editing to suit your taste or to make it larger

• Full mesh body

• Very FPS friendly
• My first ever released RoR Mod

Anyways, you guys have my full permission to mod this, rework it, put it in your terrains, and release it without contacting me as long as you give the proper credits. Do that, and you are free to do what you like with it. Well, so here it is, i hope you enjoy!Just put in your packs folder or your vehicles folder, works in either one for me.
Update 4-22-12: Now with selectable colors and it will sit in the back of something. Also, corrected weight to be more realistic.
Still needs to have reflections turned down some though.

Yes I would love to put some sort of decal on it, however as I stated earlier I really don't know how to skin or add a decal on the side. But I do appreciate the input.

BTW, I have updated the status of the thread to WIP to show that I will continue to improve it

EDIT: I am currently working on getting some decals placed on it, stand by for an update here pretty soon.

Thanks, this really is my first successful model. I tried modeling the van in my avatar, but its too complex for my skill level, plus I don't know how to use managed materials yet but eventually I'll make that too.

UPDATE: I am currently re UV mapping all the parts so I can add some decals

Lol, yeah, if only RoR had fires and explosions with damage, this would be one of the most popular objects out there.

i know that a long while back (old forums may still have it) there were "exploding" crates and containers... maybe you could look at these and see if there might be a way for you to pull it off on this...

but overall, this tank is looking good... hope to see the On Hold removed soon.

Impossible, it had to due to node instability, which was basicly a bug. Doesnt happen anymore as it is fixed.

That's true, however I wonder if theres a way to make it seem to explode using shocks and ties to hold it down until you release them, then the whole thing like flies open rapidly. Shocks tuned like the ones in that slingshot that I can't remember who made that'll fling stuff pretty good.

Well, I updated it with selectable skins, just delete the old file and replace it with the new one at the top. I'm still working on the decals, very little progress there. Anyway, enjoy.
