Did a cold-start on my truck after boosting the batteries with the Ranger for an hour.
Then did a few rolls back and forth in the yard, just checking the brakes and getting everything moving.
Here's a video of the cold start. Wasn't really a COLD start, rather it had been sitting in -10c to +5c weather for the month, and when I started it, it was +5c soooo.. .yeah. And there's also a quick gander at the twin turbos as well.

(I don't own a car but I think this counts)
I bought a new oil filter for my gas Club Car (the old one blew off), inflated the tires, bought some Slime because the tires deflated again...
Now I just have to get it running again.![]()
Well this past week i put on my custom built 3" body lift, a new stearter, adjusted shifting linkage, and fixed my fan shroud that came loose. Next week comes 2" leveling kit, breaks, fixing hole in gas take (fml idiot last owner)

Got the new exhaust in today for my 1990 Ranger and found out that it did not come with a piece that I thought it did so now I have to take it to a local professional exhaust shop and have them make the piece and weld everything up for me. Sometime in the next week or so, I am going to have to drop the gas tank to replace the fuel sending unit so my gauge will work again.
Slime works great on anything. We use it on all of our equipment.
It's really a great option for golf carts because 1 bottle can take care of dozens of flats on small tires. (One stock golf cart tire can cost up to $100) D:
Got my gas cart running, and it works like it didn't just sit in the cold for 3 mos.! As the sun set I went to flip my headlights on, but they flickered then went out.![]()
Wiggling the wires coming off of the fuse box fixed it until last night. Now I have to drive around with my flashers on just to be able to somewhat see!
Obviously its some weird electrical issue (the reverse buzzer cuts in and out too). I'll have to find a fix for that.![]()
On my 2004 Club Car Precedent, I noticed the front cowl (the 'hood') had popped one of its clips, I tried snapping it back but only managed to make all of the other clips pop off...![]()
They just don't make 'em like they used to!
It's not great for any regular on-road car or truck. If you ever get the chance to take a look at a tire that had been slimed, you'll see that the condition of the inside of the tire is far worse than that of a tire that had a proper tire repair done.
It even says right on the can that it is a temporary fix, to be used long enough to get you to a shop. Tires that have been slimed can not be conventionally repaired and must be replaced with brand new tires.
I'm not saying my opinion. This is mine own experiance working as a tire tech, and we were told the same when I was in college. Just go to the website and check out the disclaimer ;D
Edit: How much is a can of slime? A conventional tire repair is usually about $20, and will last the life of the tire.

Tell me about it! After 15 years of its tires being slime'd I had to use a chisel and hammer to get about a 1.5" layer of the stuff off of the rim. I meant its a quick and easy fix, because the tires go flat on that cart for no reason (probably a slow leak due to the rims being bent and dented). So there is no way to patch them if there is no hole.
We use real patch kits for our cars and trucks and other heavy equipment.
You can get a 16oz container for under $10 here.

nothing, maybe just looked at it once or twice out the window
Painted a few small areas where the old original paint was showing through, fixed the tailgate handle, and aired up the tires. It has been a couple weeks since the last time it was started, so I just know that it is going to be cranky when I get that freaken gas gauge fixed.
Spent most of the day coating the underside of my car with much needed POR 15. Then had the rest of the day to screw around with the manifolds on the girlfriends car
