What's the purpose of all these useless posts? Atv_123 for sure knows exactly what commands the car will have, which versions he will make and the specs of a Bugatti. Especially he for sure won't make a stupid Über-tuned 2000hp-edition with a differently painted engine.

Cant believe that you're the only brave person going and tackling a project as big as a Bugatti! Cant believe how much detail you're putting into it as well! Once its done it is going to be the hottest the on ROR I guarantee you! Just ignore the morons who don't appreciate the hard work your putting into this thing.

I haven't been able to make any progress recently (or at least nothing of much significance) because my computer has decided to randomly start freezing when I try to run anything graphically intense other then RoR (for what reason I will never understand)
So I am going to be downgrading back to Windows 7 Pro so that it will stop freezing... it is rather annoying when I am doing fine details and then the whole computer just locks up... so hopefully I will make progress later this week.

I was running Windows 8 all the way back till like August of last year... However this newest release of Windows 8 MSD Pro (or whatever it is) that Microsoft put out seems to just hate my computer... I know it is a Video card issue but I am not sure how to get it fixed.
I have a MacBook Pro 2011 with a 13 inch screen... so it has 2 graphics cards. However that being said I think that Windows only uses the more powerful Nividia card and not the less powerful one. All I know is that when I choose to run some program (other than RoR for whatever reason) that is graphically intense, even just a quick paced YouTube video... it just locks up and I have to restart... which as you can imagine with the development of this car... once I fire up blender I know it is only a matter of minutes before it dies :P

That's more likely to be because it's a Mac. Not everything is as 'seemless' as Apple makes it look, and it also could be part Microsoft as Windows 8 might not be formatted properly for a Mac yet.

Yup and yup... the Nividia Drivers for my Mac are only for Windows Vista... they haven't made any for Win7 or Win8... thus my problem
Also Boot camp right now is for Win7 as well which could be another issue

Yeah. They'll probably come out with a Win8 version though.

Yeah, best thing you can do is to downgrade back to Windows 7, etc. That's one problem with macs, it isn't always compatible with every program.

I have noticed this... I would just finish it in OSX but we are currently lacking an RoR version newer than 0.38.67 (I think it is) which is missing some of the newer features that I am adding to this car like the automated trigger wings and such what not... granted the car still works in this version, but it is much better to drive with the wing doing its own thing.

All of this along with it is so confusing to export meshes from blender in OSX that I always screw it up somehow and just prefer to do it in windows because on there it is a rather no brainier.

So yea... I will be going back to Win7 pretty soon here... so once I get everything backed up, moved, and re-set up again, hopefully I can make some more progress and finish the interior

Personally I think it is very nice... takes a little to get used to because you use a lot more shortcuts like moving your mouse to the sides of the screen to bring up more menus and what not... also the new start menue confused me at first as well, but within about 10 minutes I was zipping about my computer and absolutely loving it... I think it would be much better with a touch screen but hay... what are ya gonna do.

So the wing on the Bugatti that youre making is actually going to work like the real thing? And if so, is the wing going to tilt forward when youre braking while the wing is already up? [ / ] <----(is the wing gunna do that when you brake?)
