Hmm... Actually I think you're right... What would help though(I think) is if you go into the managed materials section and check every specular map(Usually the ones that end with "_s") and remove those, replace them with a "-" ... I think that should work. On my Pershing tank I'm just not assigning any specular maps and probably because of that, I'm getting over a 150fps on the N-test map, even though it uses about 420 nodes and a ton of beams(however no deformation, which helps too, of course)

If there's a custom ogre shader script, it would be best to turn it off in it. If it's something that RoR takes care of, method you've described should work.

PS: only the top speed it not so realistic but you cant reach that on land ( i think)

If I may ask, where/how in gods name did you find the gear ratios and from what engine are they(1.4, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0)?... I've spent days and days looking for gearbox codes with no luck, and ended up using some from a Mk2/Mk3 Golf which should be pretty close...

They work really well too, although in 0.40(haven't tested in 0.38) the top speed is about 20km/h lower than it should be, but that's fixable I'm sure. Thanks man!

That's what you get when you got a 1.4liter with 55 hp, dragging along about 850kgs The 139 it does with the new gear ratios feels a lot faster though, but there's something up with the handling in 0.40. When that's released I really need to sort it out. It waves left and right at high speeds like it used to do when I was still building the basic chassis n/b. I don't think it does that in 0.38, thankfully. Was doing that circled thing on the 0.40 Augriga map.... When I was doing 139 I could just keep holding the gas without even steering cause it would keep turning left all on it's own, even had to countersteer slightly a couple of times. So I hope that only happens in 0.40 and that I didn't accidently change something with the hydro's last time I updated :S

So yeah :P They're really good. I will need to tweak the torque and some other stuff a little though, to make up for the top speed Will be included in the next update

There are three things about the sounds though:

1. The sounds are a little too loud O.o I know I should turn my own volume down, but it gets a little annoying when you drive 30+ cars a day.
2. I didn't hear any skidding sounds.
3. No crashing sounds.

I know it's still a WIP, just giving you some information you might or mightnot have noticed

The only non engine sounds are horn and handbrake

I'm not sure if you've already noticed, but there's a slight bug with the braking on the car. If you stop the car without applying the parking brake, if you hold the brake down the car will twitch slightly and slowly move backwards.

this is amazing! however, something quite odd i might point out: whenever i open the car on the grenoble map, as soon as it spawns it begins to slowly deforem at the front, as if in a crusher :/ dont know if its just me being a noob though (most probaby) :P

so i'm glad that the ratio's are good,
and maybe for the next update ( i dont know it is already told you) but in the instrument panel , if you use the right blinker it works in side but the left blinker you cant see it inside (on the instrument panel)

and if you want to know what the normal torque is of a 1.4 ibiza that is 107 Newton Meter.

Check if you have an older version of the car somewhere, if so, delete it. Clear your cache and regenerate it. That's how others made the error go away...
