Default Development Screens - Professional Edition (Each post contains a picture OR contributing post)

    same rules as in Development-Screens-(-Each-post-contains-a-picture-OR-contributing-post)

    but the additional rules are:
    • just present your own work, OR: clearly state what you got from where
    • NO SKETCHUP, not even converterd
    • not even one screenshot of stuff in sketchup.
    • no mods: just original content only (in other words, no badly made modifications of other peoples work, just content that you created all by yourself). this includes putting new rims or paintjobs on someone else's car. even if you modeled the wheel yourself from scratch, it's still modding someone else's car, so it goes in regular development screens.
    • un-professional looking stuff will get moved to the normal development thread: Development-Screens-(-Each-post-contains-a-picture-OR-contributing-post)
this thread was created to show that we are not just a bunch of kids that play around with sketchup, please contribute

    about the sketchup rule:
it is possible to create good stuff using sketchup, but i always refer it to painting the mona lisa in mspaint:

so you see, even with a crappy program like mspaint you can get decent results. The problem is that most users will produce stuff like this:

beyond that, there are some technical problems with using sketchup to ogre exporter which are not easy to solve. (texture exporting)

also, some people dont get the difference between Real Time Rendering for games and renders in their favorite 3D modeler which are nomally used to create movies.

the difference is actually very simple: keep the poly count down

for example the game type of car:
    http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/...-luxury/602243
    958 polygons!

and the same used for movies:
    http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/...8-model/355880
    391,965 polygons!!

MV4 in-game, just gotta model and n/b the mirrors, finish all the underbody/interior/running gear stuff, then texture it all

The front wheels are using like 10 shocks each (0 spring, low damp) to severely limit movement/eliminate clipping. Has no effect on suspension travel or steering, just makes it crash better.
