Badboy, the way you said "the gooseneck is attached to the truck" does that mean that you cannot detach the gooseneck/trailer completely from the truck?

The gooseneck is mounted on the truck yes.
But I see it this way....it's very rare IRL that you detach the neck from the truck so.

Well you can have the trailer with mounted gooseneck but the steering won't work.
Hookgroups would make this build even better but they didn't happen.

Hookgroups..... meaning more then one hook point right? like on the Box ram that HEMI and Ice did..... the construction has 2(if I'm thinking on right name.. :P).... the 5th wheel and receiver hitch...

if thats the right thing that I'm thinking on.... what is the limit to them... how many can one have on one rig?

because the rig I'm wanting to make(after I can "get it" I've been looking at the wiki for a few months now... no luck understanding it really XD, but I'm starting to understand a lil. :P) has 4 "hooks" has 3 winches.... and on the wheel lift has a receiver hitch for towing trailers.... so thats 4.

pics below... but the one I want to make is the National Workstar we have.... not this freightliner.... the liner is crappier den the national! XD :P

Well hookgroups is not the same as many hooks. =)
I use 4 hooks on my trucks but they are still on the same button "L".

Hookgroups is probably with diffrent buttons for each group.

I see, I see.... ;P lol because I was wondering if they were the same... because I know Iceman and HEMI's Construction ram has 2 hooks...

and like my truck(when I get it started/done :P) will have 4(or 3.. might take the one off the lift.... not sure) and a Sh**load of ropes.... :P

so hook groups like multi hook points? or completely different?

Sorry to bump this thread but is this still being worked on? As hookgroups are now released.

(I mande this post with the intention to gather information only, not to bump for fun)

Yes the trailers are still in progress.
The multiple hook nodes solved the problem for me.
I will start with the release of a 4axl version......soon. =)
