Got the bottom of the fighter skinned too, here's a view of the bottom. you can see it's clearly had a good bit of wear and tear on it, it's supposed to look like dust and stuff has scratched up the bottom, there's a burn mark near the front too. I'm gonna do a more detailed edit of the fuselage skin once I get some wings on this sucker, the wing and fuselage skins have to match up fairly closely.

So I did a bit more research on the profile and stuff for the N-1 starfighter, and found that my models have been a little ... large. Large as in vertically stretched. The engines are actually a bit slender but not a lot, but the fuselage itself that I made was vertically stretched. here's a view from the side, isometric NOT perspective, of the new fuselage and engine from the side. These are positioned how they will be in the actual model as well.
Keep in mind, this is NOT a rendering, it is only the ISO view in Blender. The model is still shiny as heck. so much shiny.

    Nice

I think you could tone down the shininess a tad though, the transition between shiny and normal looks a little odd to me.
