I would tell you how to export it to Rigs of Rods, but first... learn a valuable lesson.

    _________________________________________________

First, you used too many (unnecessary) polygons on the bits with curvature. Refer to http://wiki.rigsofrods.com/pages/Mak...es_in_SketchUp to fix it.

Then, you drew black lines which also wastes polygons, when you could just use a texture.

Proceeding, you have weird bits of polygons everywhere...

Next, you should group the blocks separately so they don't intersect with the models polygons.

Finally, your model is backface city.

Here is a help thread for specifically SketchUp:

    http://forum.rigsofrods.com/index.php?topic=29298.0

Also, if you just learned SketchUp, then switch to Blender 3D. If you are serious about modeling work and like to model complex things like lets say a Bugatti Veyron, then you should learn Blender. Even for machinery or crash test sites, Blender 3D has advanced rendering/texturing features and is a more professional program to model with. If you are not serious about your 3D Modeling and already are comfortable with SketchUp, optimize your models in every way possible.

Finally, here are more SketchUp tutorials.

    _________________________________________________

Now that you had the mini-lesson, you would most likely go and fix your model. If you fixed it, then keep reading. If you didn't fix your model, I definitely do not recommend going on because the low-quality of the model will haunt you in your dreams of 3D Modeling/Rigs of Rods. So, please, take the time to model it properly so you don't have to do it the bad way. Trust me, it's worth it.

First, you will need the Google SketchUp exporter.

Since it's a terrain object, you should refer to the "Making an object in Google SketchUp" tutorial.

    http://wiki.rigsofrods.com/pages/Mak...oogle_SketchUp

Then, since it is a complex model, use a collision mesh (lucky you, I wrote the tutorial when I was still using SketchUp so it's easier to comprehend

A backface is the back of a face, which will be invisible unless you flip it.

The tutorial "Making an object in Google SketchUp" will cover that.

Here's what i've done so far. I'm having problems placing it in a terrain. When i place it in toolkit it is rightside up and exactly how i want it but then after saving and going in game to play it is diagonal and stuck halfway in the ground. I don't know what's wrong.

in sketchup, you need to rotate it around the red axis, and if you already did that, try rotating it back
