Thread: NEOPLAN tourliner

    Post NEOPLAN tourliner

    It's finally done!

The tourliner is finished (at least for now) and I have uploaded it to the repository! (may not be available now, since it has to be approved)

The readme.pdf is attached to this post, please read it.
There are also two *.skin.txt files attached which are not working yet. I just uploaded them so the coders have something to play.

    _________________________________________________
Fix: Unfortunately I made a silly mistake... I haven't noticed that it displays ;V 1.0 instead of NEOPLAN tourliner in the select menu...
If you want to fix that issue, you can download those *.truck and *.load files attached to this post and drop them in the *.zip file they belong to.
    Thanks for your appreciation!

Note: If the bus spawns with running engine and the display is switched off, just press X and restart with backspace.

If there are any problems, please tell me!
(warning: the trailer hook doesn't work yet, it's used to stabilize the skibox)

Betzi, I did an in-depth search of this bus to look for flaws (not that I expected any) and I could not find one.. not even one. The things I primarily liked were:

    • The custom flares you used
    • The detail in the vents
    • The steering wheel that spins 360+ degrees
    • The damage texture

I am very delighted that we are getting more and more meshed buses, and I thank you for adding to that list.

I tried to fake a fuel gauge, but it didn't work like I wanted it to. Also you can't ran out fuel in RoR atm. Maybe some coder will implement that feature in future.
About the doors: Have a look at the readme.pdf. See first post.

    Post Re: NEOPLAN tourliner

    Hi,
I tried the bus today, and I can just repeat what people already said: brilliant work!
I love all the animations like the clutch, gas and brake pedals, the shift-stick...
Furthermore it has a very realistic driving behaviour.
Only one small thing I noticed: The display in the interior does only work if you hit "X" or ignition, otherwise it stays blank. Now if you go to a truck shop, and select the bus, the engine is already running but the display is blank, now if you hit ignition-key it will work but the engine is off... hope you understand what I mean.
But that's only a minor thing

Awesome work, the bus is looking great!
Does this bus require RoR 0.36.3 or later?

    Post Re: NEOPLAN tourliner

I think it requires 0.37, because the dash has animators.
