It was just a case of realising this, and merging the changes I'd made to dashboard.material and tracks.material into the new ror.material.

I've only corrected HUD2 for now (my unreleased version) - I'll try and find time to get v1.0 (the version I released) working this weekend.
Very cool. And such a simple error that no one had noticed yet. Good job on spotting that Alfie.

Ok, I think this should work.

The attached file has all the required files to update the standard HUD to my v1.0

As always, back up your overlays.zip, materials.zip and textures.zip first.

Extract the contents of this new .zip to a folder,

    then copy :

    needlesmask.overlay
    dashboard.overlay
    needles.overlay

    to your C:\Program Files\Rigs of Rods\resources\overlays.zip

    ---

    Copy:

    ror.material

    to your C:\Program Files\Rigs of Rods\resources\materials.zip

    ---

Copy all the .png and .dds files to your C:\Program Files\Rigs of Rods\resources\textures.zip

Works like a charm, maybe having an optional pedal display could also work, like the bars in LFS.

Works and looks great, except its now highly inaccurate, check the screenshot to see what i'm talking about. Both RPM and speed is off.

I'd already done this, but unfortunately the position of the 'pedals' overlay is hard coded, so the sliders are locked to the very bottom of the screen. This looked pretty bad so I scrapped the whole idea.

Nothing's changed since the HUD's first release and the fix - v1.0 always was highly inaccurate.

v2.0 has accurate speed readout, as well as optional mph / kph bias, but that's not been released yet.

I dont know if you know this or what
Or if I was suppose to keep the original HUD files in there to but...
Take a look at the "T" truck info mph and the HUD mph
The truck info section says 54mph the HUD says 100mph

That would work for temporary, but i'll wait for Alfie to fix his, because his tach goes up to 9k, which is better for all vehicles, not just diesels that rev 4k max. Also not to mention your version has Kph on the outside.

Here are updated files for the speedo and tacho.

Both match the stock RoR dials in terms of range (i.e. tacho only goes up to 3500rpm).

MPH or KPH dominant speedo options too.
