Just spent a couple of hours modelling this z-type crane for the Hermes project. Only a couple of little details on the crane left, and obviously the skirting on the truck.

Now I really need to get a grip on texturing and export/import for RoR.

I've been playing with CryEngine 3, making buildings in 3ds Max. 4,000,000 in-game polies too much?

Probably too much for CE3 as well. I've never heard of any game engine with 4 million polygons in one model let alone one that would handle it well.
I before E, except in my username, apparently.

4.000.000? That's way too much for any game. Can't believe your computer can handle 4mil polys in 3ds, are you really sure you mean 4mil? Press "7" in 3ds and post a screenshot please.

Offtopic: Interesting. And I thought you make only cars

I have done something little 1 year ago, when I was beginning with Blender. It´s car from my fantasy, how I would imagine passenger car in 2012 It doesn´t have textures, only material and looks very strange... I don´t plan something with it now.

    Hahaha, I'm caught there!

Hopefully it evolves soon, that's a bit the goal while doing such visualizations ;-) Well, if there's any goal at all...
