Texturing is complete, just need to edit the bulb images for the starting sequence, then place it on a terrain! You like?

I have a question about the terrain. Are you making the textures like a .gif image? So it will just cycle threw the lights, or are you making it so you can only one it once, and if you wanted to use it again you would need to reset the map?

    @Fradias:
Check out this guy's tutorials. They're VERY simple! Watch the Trans Am videos (I believe there is three of them)
Don't get me wrong, your truck is ok for sketchup. But Blender is FAST for modeling! What you did would take less than thirty minutes in Blender

@DODGE: Erm... when will we see a thread?

It uses a material file with an "anim_texture" to create a repeating loop of the starting sequence. So you'll just pull up to the starting line and wait for the green, then it will be ready for another run by the time you get back to the starting line. And thanks for your interest.

Erm... When I actually make the terrain. Right now it's just a vision, and the name for this vision is "Forest Hill Dragway".

    Thanks

I'm using Sketchup for now as my personal preference... as a first experience, do you know what I mean?
When I'm done with this one I might redo the mesh completelly in blender but I'm still learing on it, sketchup is what I've allways used and I will still use in this project

I hope everyone understands and I do not apreciate comments saying I'm a noob for using sketchup, I just ignore them (I know, or at least think, you didn't mean that)

    Meanwhile I got progress:
    -Hood is almost finished
    -Yodel might do the n/b

    Thanks a lot to him

    Honestly,
    Fradias

the easyest way of making an sketchup model is making one side and finish that and than you copie that and do you scale it to the oppisete direction

    I know, I know
I made sketchup models before so I know that, I just left it that way so that I have a preview of the final width and everything but when I'm done modeling I'll delete the other side...

It's done! Now I just need to make a readme and release it to the repo. For those who are confused and saying "Wait, weren't you making for a terrain?" Yes, I am, but I'm also releasing the Christmas tree so people can use it on any map.

And to leave a little mystery I won't make a video of the sequence, you'll have to wait to see that.

That's because I don't use the smooth/edge split until I'm finished with my model. That way I know where to add extra nodes without screwing up anything else later on by accident.
