Nice DODGE This is my contribution to make the mesh the most realistic as possible:

First you need to know that the blade is attached to the truck by only 4 points:

Engine attempt for future project. Not based on one that already exist.
I'm trying to keep it low poly as possible (~200 now), but trying to have more than a box with an engine shape. Belt and exhaust are missing for the moment.
What do you think of it ? (please criticize in more than one word, "nice" isn't enough )

Yeah, I tried making it like that, but the scaling of your mechanism's blueprint is way off, I think that blueprint may be for a daycab. Nothing fit the truck like your blueprint shows, so I made it like I was forced to. But I can try to modify it to be as close to the real thing as possible.

Can you post a pic of the blueprint with the cab mesh and the blade mesh on it ? It's strange, normally the front of the daycab and crewcab is the same.

Haha - I have in mind to do such a thing sometimes - it's true it's useless, but it's fun! Yours have a nice size as well. Could be a good playground for experimenting how Blender can bake the light into the textures and trying to achieve a realistic interior atmosphere though.

I don't think it would be neccesary since it doesn't have the engine in the back, but it's my opinion. The scope itself looks good
