There never was a GMT400 with a solid front axle, (4wd anyway) but I'm not including bigger trucks, 3500HD, 4500, etc.
I know you mentioned this before, but I would like to see 3 engines, 350, 454, and 379 (6.2) Detroit
again, I know that you mentioned the 6.2, and honestly that is the one I would most like to see.
Do you know what transmission your going to use?
I'm not entirely sure if GM had phased out the Turbo-350's and 400's or if they would have had the 4L80-E in the 3/4 tons by 88'
this may be a bit stupid, but there are a few things I would personally really like to see,
Towing mirrors
Cab lights
and possibly, a DMI rear bumper.
One other thing is I thought the Cheyenne was one of the fancier trucks, but I'm more familiar with the older GM's
I thought the Custom Deluxe was the plain truck.
I finish this rambling with this,
I seem to cheer on anything I like that is being made, but seeing this Chevy and that Cydvx is making it, I truly would like to see this make it to fruition.
Edit:
Sparkie, I thought the same thing for quite a while, but the 3/4 tons went with the Half tons, the one tons did keep the old body style until 91', along with the Blazers and Suburbans.

from Wikipedia:
[...] 3rd Generation 4x4 trucks used solid front axles. The 4 generation GM trucks used independent front suspension (IFS).
The 4th gen start at 1988, we had a 1990 Cheyenne trim, which was the work truck version with the 6.2 and a 4 speed manual with high ratio differential. I still remember the day we pull my dad's gmc general dump truck from a dig with the cheyenne on 4-lo on bare asphalt.. I think the skid mark are still there somewhere on the road.
Edit:
@Peterbilt: By cab lights you means like This
I don't know about the transmission yet, maybe the 4-speed?

If I'm not mistaken, the diesels came with a heavey duty automatic, a heavy duty 4 speed, and I believe a heavy 5 speed as well. I also think that the diesels were 6.5 Turbo Diesels. I've had a few of these trucks and still have the manuels. If you would like some info just let me know, and I will do my best for you. I find that most "light trucks" in ROR have the same rear end Ratio both dually and singles...In most cases, it isn't how they are in real life, takeing away from the realism. Like I said, if you would like some info, I'm only a PM away.

A page beginning like this in this thread upsets me quite a lot.
Let me remind the thread name: Re: Development Screens ( Each post contains a picture OR contributing post)
