BTW, this thread was originally intended at hostings some N/B's development, so you're more than welcome doing so

Surprisingly well actually, snakes about after bumps and jumps but other than that handles better with a keyboard than most fast cars in RoR.
Ride can be bumpy because my custom wheels have to be hard to stop them flexing too much.

Here's another n/b as well then
Planning to make it a bit high detailed in the mesh but keep the beamcount as low as possible, so it should run fine on most PCs. Getting 140fps at the n-test lab track thingy, 50+ in desert trails. Gets up just about any hill if it's physically possible(So no near-vertical walls higher than one and a half meters), normal bumpy terrain is easy in this beast. Carcrushing is a no-go though, cars get reset pretty much right away because the tank just rips them apart... Only real way to get it actually stuck(between rocks etc.) is if you manage to break one of the drivewheels(the ones in the sprockets used to drive the tracks), which should be fixable by using meshwheels2 or so.

It's based on an M-26 Pershing by the way. The turret rotates left/right like in real life, but of course cannon won't function(will move up and down though). Need to stabilize the turret rotator though. Any ideas how to do that?

Tank already goes about 45-50km/h, but it's not limited by the tracks at all. All I need to do is change the gear ratios, innertia and torque to make it go faster. Also need to sort out some steering issues, cause on pavement and the like it doesn't turn very well, and in higher gears it hardly turns at all. I also want to make the arrows function like the f1-f2 keys do right now, since braked steering really hardly helps at all. Again, no idea how to do that.

    Mesh (with mock-up turret):

Let me know what you guys think

At the moment only 45-50km/h, but luckily it seems like the top speed is not limited by the slidenodes, rather because it just lacks the torque. Planning to make it go at least 80km/h, but I really need to sort out the steering issues. On pavement or third gear it really steers badly, and in fourth it doesn't seem to steer at all. Also wanting to make the arrow keys work like the f1 and f2 keys currently do, since braked steering hardly works at low speeds, at high speed it's completely useless it seems(since it also makes the engine stall a lot). However with the f-keys at low speed it's fine. I have no idea if it's possible to basically swap over those controls though...

And the turret rotator just swings about like hell, but I have no idea if it's possible to stabilize that...

Use it to smooth out the sharp movements, works on rotators, hydros, animators and commands.

Already done... It's supposed to be sharp though, but it just swings every which way it wants while driving. Like it's barely attached to the shell you know...

EDIT@Below: Jiggles left and right basically...

Like it rotates 180? 360? Or it just jiggles? Lol

Use hooks to hold the turret straight when your driving around. Just press "L" to lock them the same way you would use to make a hitch for a trailer.

Also, you mentioned the skid steer wasn't to good. Maybe reduce the friction of the tracks so they slide easily and set the brakes very strong.

Looks nice. Downloading and enjoying it I think would depend on its node and beam performance.

I started modeling something to mod on my free time. Anyone care to throw in a guess?

    Looks awesome! And I'm guessing it's a Mazda RX-7?

And I have a little development of my own. It's not much but I just finished a new winch hook for the Tatra t-813 army version.

Then you should see my green 03 Windstar Perfect condition with just some minor rusting behind the bottom of the doors.
