Yeah, I just found that out. Still, it's a great honor for my work to be compared to something that amazing. And drracer from a website called "TatraPortal" made the original mesh, but Betzi refined it.

So simple, yet so amazing.I'm still an ultra-noob when it comes to modeling, and I'm wonder how you made those ridges. Can you offer a newbie any help? :3

Thanks a ton! But, wow! I feel like your selling yourself a little bit short on modelling. Look at your MAZ, that's amazing in my eyes! But anyway I made the ridges by making a plane that's the rough dimensions of the final product and it is mirrored on the y-axis, and then made six horizontal loop-cuts and then deleted the faces that were where the inset parts go, next I extruded the holes where the inset parts are on the x-axis and filled in the sides where the extruding didn't leave faces. But then to make the excess to the front and back of the side I extruded the front end to make the finished length.

I might have to make a quick video to show a more in-depth view of the modelling process.

So I'd like to give a big thanks to everyone who has complimented on this and supported my making of this!

here is a rather long time yet not much progress update. Still have to smooth a bit more, but I have made my body mesh much more organized, and have gotten it pretty detailed. Here are all of the possible photos that you could need... Still getting the texturing right...

And to be on topic: No visible progress to the last released beta version, but a new, realistic torquecurve for which I used a performance chart and this useful exel file by Fat-Alfie and a more durable chassis so that I can drive over bumps without damage

On the other hand I really have to continue learning Blender, but it will for sure take some time before I can make anything that I can release to the public.

I decided to revamp this project into a KrAZ 255b, it's easier to find reference pictures, and the truck is more badass than some Belarussian parade truck.
I also made a very rough cab mock-up in 5 minutes just for renders sake.
Well no matter what you decide to make, it still looks awesome!
