Blargh. RMA'ing my cpu yet again, the replacement I got was DOA.. I know it's not my mobo as I've tried a different cpu in it and it worked fine.

Got my NZXT HUE lighting kit in. Can't wait to put it inPlus bought me 2 more Corsair fans to replace my Zalmans to I have a uniform PC (selling those and my old white NZXT LED kit). I promised myself that I will leave my PC like it is for a while.
Control panel looks better at the top or bottom? Bottom does look more uniform or something like that. Mind the dust. Im a few... weeks past my monthly dusting![]()

Does anyone know of any software that'll make my fingerprint scanner work on a HP Probook 6460b (my laptop). There is no software installed on it from the beginning and I can't find any that works![]()

If the laptop came with a driver CD then use that or ask whoever did buy it for said CD.
While we're on the topic of laptops this is the model I have. It's a Vaio VPCF12S1E from around 2008/9. Feels nice and sturdy/bulky besides the area around the webcam on the screen's frame. Has a first generation i7 CPU with a GT330M and 6GB of memory, still runs just about everything at a decent framerate but it's a bitch when it gets hot. I have a hunch that it needs a good dust out since it never used to do this. 16.4" 1920x1080 screen also.

If you're using a Windows 7 PC then check if there are some generic sound drivers available under the optional tab of Windows Update, they usually work well enough unless you're looking for something that will allow you to tweak your settings precisely.
I before E, except in my username, apparently.
My OS is XP cause I only have it. My laptop has WIN 7
Anyone here know why my desktop and anything white/gray looks yellow?
Here's a pic of what it looks like.
If you can't see the yellow, It's in the sky on the picture.
It's also on anything white/gray.
My specs are:
AMD Phenom II x4 2.8 ghz
Nvidia GTX 560 ti (all drivers are up to date)
4 gb ram
1 tb hard drive
Monitor:
LG Flatron w2040t using dvi connection.
I can reboot and it gets rid of it maybe 15 minutes.
The graphics card is running at 48c.
Also here is some new pics that hopefully you can see the yellow.

Is it just a complete stock 6460b or the Energystar one? Also, which operating system are you using and is it 64 or 32 bit?
EDIT: Try this: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...kId=135&mode=3
It's a link for the stock model, see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't then just browse around HP's site under the security software section, that's where the fingerprint software is located.

You mentioned that you have the laptop from school. Is it a completely stock install of Windows or did the school install some sort of login/networking/security system of their own like most schools use in their buildings? Because if that's the case then it's likely that that software is what's keeping you from installing it.

Just going to put this out there, at the end of october, I'm looking to get one of these laptops, scince I spilled water on my old one while doing some work...: http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B008...pf_rd_i=301128
Or something similar. Sorry for the .de, currently I'm living in Germany. I'm just going to be doing some MS Office work on my laptop, and when I'm on a trip, I can do some on the go Gaming with the GT650M built in.
