    They kind of like an apache, at most RPMs they just sound like a very bad running engine.

    Yes but it's not that much once it was spooled up, compared to most pulling rigs. Diesel exhaust is no more harmful than gas exhaust and the soot just falls to the ground, it has much larger particles than gasoline exhaust and is harder to absorb into the body.

    I still think the I6 cummins sounds better, just like a semi, because 95% of all semis have I6s for a reason, because the I6 is better...

    Personally I like the sound of the 7.3 Powerstroke V8.

    However, from experiance, the Inline-6 engine figuration has many benefits.

    my friend has a ford f 350 and he has it straight piped and alll you can hear is the turbo. it soundslike a jet engine taking off.
    and i have to say any inline 6 cylender engine can out power a powerstroke. also i believe that an inline is better because on a v8 engine the cylenders are some what fighting each other. if you have an opinion please post it but remember this is my opinion
