bit big crane for logging and light loads dont u think
what we want is a smaller crane like thisGrove RT9100 rough terrain crane.
This machine is very capable off road, but cannot travel on the road for several reasons; with a top speed of 16mph
it is too slow, at approximately 30 tons each the axle loadings are too heavy. For these reasons and others, a low loader
is used to transport the crane between job sites. if u also add on some grabs like a logging grab and a orange peel grab
this would make a good crane for ror also it would make a good load for the lo loader
I thought you wanted a small crane.
That crane is almost as big as the liebherr in the game
Do as I say.......NOT like I do.
yere but its tougher and could be used off road to lift contaners ect
Well all AT cranes are terrain going so there is no diffrence there.
But a small crane would be nice in the game.
Make the Grove and we will see if it´s any good.
Do as I say.......NOT like I do.
well i cant mod i can do AC3D but cant mod ROR
also that crane youve got is a poor all terane crane as its long wheelbase
Probably shorter wheelbase then the Grove you showed.
Do as I say.......NOT like I do.
you shoudent ask a plant operater that yes ive driven both the grove has higer ground clerence compered to the lembirrer
in a situation when ur lifting cointaners round woods a truck mounted cranes not a option we have hired the lebeer and for what we do its poor off road u might think diffrent as jobs vary the lebierrer wins my vote for comfort ect but not for off roading
PS grove derive from the orignall ATC the coles prototype
I feel that with my 6x6x6 Liebherr there must be very rough terrain for it too get stuck.
But opinions vary as we can see here.
Do as I say.......NOT like I do.

It would work if you built a grab and everything had contact triangles.Originally Posted by Trevor

Just a quick mod to the flatbed with crane, textured double sided with contact triangles and contactor nodes.
The load is a long triangular piece, contact-textures and there are 2 nodes in the middle that are ropable and contacter nodes.
The big question: does it work?
Well, not really.

Maybe if you subdivided the grabber into more triangles and made the new nodes contacters as well? You'd have more chance of a contacter node contacting a triangle and consraining a part better in the jaws.
And to solve your one node rotation problems you could use two nodes and a rotator.

I wasn't intending to build it, it's just a concept I made this morning when I had some time.
