I have been working on this crawler for a while. I started this project to learn how to build suspendion and setup shocks.
The whole truck is build by me and only me
The truck is a mesh, Sketchup mesh = no collision.. But its a crawler, its not made for crashing You MUST have Rigs Of Rods 0.35 to get it working. [read more] |

Just some off roaders that I made they have no bodies so you can add whatever you want and you do not have to ask for permission to modify and post |

UPDATE: I've been working on a variation of my own and it's complete, or close enough. It is fully submeshed and will contact with other vehicles(that must to be contactable). It's sides and tail can fold down. The rear rollcage can be lifted using Ctrl+F4/Ctrl+F6. It has ties in the back so you can drive an vehicle into it. Unfortunately all the stuff I added makes it too "tippy" to carry a vehicle into water anymore but driving on land is fine. Also has a trailer hitch that can be completely folded away if you're not going to use it. All controls are listed in-game. Have fun.
This is an Tatra 813 pack I modified from Pricordes original versions and added "Wheels2" to all of the models so you can inflate/deflate the tires. Also updated to work properly in the latest RoRs release as it was having texture issues before. Use [ to deflate and ] to inflate the tires. This is not as easy on your system as the originals were. They were only about 1300 beams before, now each has over 2800 to properly simulate the wheels.
NOTE: You will need to enable advanced wheels in the configurator under the "CPU" tab to enable "Wheels2" in versions older than 0.38.33.

Ford F650
Offroad Crawler
This truck performs really well on slow technical offroad terrain. Theres alot of rear articulation to make for some fun crawling. It's fairly stable at high speeds, and also drift really well on dirt in 8th gear or so.

Latest version of my Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. I made lots of the beams on the body hidden so it looks better now. The suspension has been reworked since I first uploaded it on the forum too.
I never drive in automatic transmission mode and I think the value for the min rpm is way off you be like me and drive in manual mode and it will work fine. |

Presenting the MICRAWLER
It was all created by me and its not 100percent done. I have just decided that i am going to move onto bigger and better things. I am starting to use AC3D and this was created with both AC3D and sketchup.
Anyways instead of collecting dust i decided i would release it.

The goal for this thing was to have a fun little "do-it-all" rig to bash around in. I also wanted to keep a high fps.
Great for the short technical rock race courses. Such as the one on MudFest.

I built this crawler for the build a crawler contest. I gave it high ground clearance, low center of gravity(lots of low nodes), four wheel steering, and good size tires. Put it all together, and you have a crawler that performs flawlessly. This is the best four tired crawler that i have driven. THIS THING WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE ASPEN ROCK WALL, there is some skill required though. F1-F2 = rear steering |

This samurai is a good crawler. Everything is to scale. The wheelbase is stretched to 98" and the tires are just about 44s. |

Tube-framed rock-crawler
'Stock' and 'BlueComp' feature meshwheels FoxComp, MidnightChrome and GreenComp feature flexbody wheels
All versions feature shocks2, torque curve, engineoptions, custom sounds, and lockable axles (a must for crawling). I would recommend using manual gears with an analogue controller for best results. [read more] |

Hopefully this will be my last and best version of my crawler. Using blender I reworked the body and resized it to appropriate sizes. Moved some nodes around, and skinned it (sorta, Im not much of a skinner)
So have fun, I honestly dont know what else I can do with this, but Im open to suggestions. And if youre wondering why its called "The Turtle" its because I thought it looked like one. plus the design also reminded me of the TrailTough competition buggy seen here: http://trailtough.com/images/UROC_small.jpg.
This file also include the BFG krawlers so you dont need to download any additional files and wont harm any existing trucks of mine if youve downloaded them. There are two additional skins included: [read more] |
