Unimog U5000 (Beta)
Philzilla and I have been working on the Moggy for a while and its ready for a beta release. The mesh is accurate to its real life counter part. Although the paint job and back end is completely custom.
The real one is used for: "Dakar", "Truck trials" and "Rallye" the price tag is about $80,000 USD (good thing we have simulators :P) I will let the Pictures do the rest of the talking. I made the detailed mesh and Node and beam chassis and Philzilla made the awesome "Dakar" suspension and some of the chassis for it.
Features
Philzilla's suspension
Extremely detailed 3d mesh
High resolution texture
Custom paint job
full interior
full Damage
Bugs
It does have its bugs
missing steering wheel,
few inverted faces and
the front axle does not move when it terns
Feel free to make skins or mods for the Unimog as long as you give credit.
Thanks to Aivar for finding the bugs that caused the 0.38.xx crash
Enjoy ;D
This is a bobtailed 1st generation Dodge Ram 1500 Cummins. It includes two versions. One with a normal, thin rollbar, and (My favorite) one with an extremely overdone rollbar...
CREDITS:
Wheels: RORcat
Original mesh: Box5diesel
Mesh editing, NB editing, rollbars: TTT (Me)
It was all created by me and its not 100percent done. I have just decided that i am going to move onto bigger and better things. I am starting to use AC3D and this was created with both AC3D and sketchup.
Anyways instead of collecting dust i decided i would release it.
-There are two version a Rotational version and a non-rotational version.
'Stock' and 'BlueComp' feature meshwheels
FoxComp, MidnightChrome and GreenComp feature flexbody wheels
All versions feature shocks2, torque curve, engineoptions, custom sounds, and lockable axles (a must for crawling). I would recommend using manual gears with an analogue controller for best results.
Thanks to Box5Diesel, Joebus, Squishy, Miura and KevinMcE for testing, help and advice.
felt like doing another crawler, and had an idea to try out full independant suspension, so i made up a name and designed my own crawler just for fun. it may look a bit weird but it is extremely capable, definantly better then anything ive done before
features:
detailed meshes
doors and tail gate open
damage textures, spec textures
working suspension parts
working dash and steering wheel
material flares (good looking lights)
YOU NEED TO LOCK THE DIFFS! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, IF YOU DONT THE WHOLE THING WILL NOT PERFORM VERY WELL. PRESS 'W' TO LOCK THE DIFFS, IF THIS DOES NOT WORK THEN YOU NEED TO GET THE EDITED KEY MAP.
enjoy
please post in the thread with any suggestions or improvments you may have, or if you dont like it, tell me why
I decided to add full collision since Multiplayer now has collision. They should crash somewhat well into each other. You can crawl on them with the truggy or other big vehicles There also Blue in this version.
This is a standalone zip, so just place in packs or vehicles folder and play.
Hey folks,
Here's a crawler I've had kicking around and thought it was time for a release. The box has a free floating feel to it. It's connected by suspension beams with low values to allow the box itself to bounce around with jarring bumps. The Box also floats and holds the rest of the framing afloat just enough to get around Also has lockers which you can turn on and off with the " W " key. Thanks to Philzilla for the base n/b to build off of!
Three versions:
Jake In the Box Lime Green... literally. Thanks to Box5 for his meshwheels
A Camo one with Squishy's Blazer Truggy meshwheels
And a Grey and yellow one with Squishy's Indy Crawler's meshwheels
Credits:
Philzilla for the n/b rolling structure
Box5Diesel- For use of the DodgeRamTruggy's wheels
Squishy- For use of his Chevy Blazer Truggy and Indy Crawler wheels
Me- Slapping it together, the box, submesh/texture ect.
These are amazing crawlers and lots of fun.
Thanks for looking! Enjoy!
This is the 94 Dodge Lifted Crawler. Its a pretty good truck for offroading and plain crawling. Not for racing. So go to smallisland and have some fun!
Note: You MUST have the following things in your game and extracted to RoR.35/data/trucks
The sterling bullet firetruck pack
The original sterling bullet crawler
The sterling bullet crawler 2.0
Boneheads Trailmasher
THIS MUST BE EXTRACTED TO TRUCKS BECAUSE IT USES MESHES FROM THOSE VEHICLES!
Credits go to:
Box5diesel
Truck/Meshes Ect.
Deezle
For the idea
Bonehead
Meshes Ect.
Heres a little extra.
Press G while in the truck to activate the exhaust particles.
Its pretty cool
Those last screenies are just to show how tough this truck is. Crashed into and airport hangar doing 90+
Result: A screwed up tire.
My entry for the "Build A Crawler Contest". Has about 44" tires.
*****************
FEATURES:
*Independent rear wheel steering
*Adjustable limiting straps (front and back) that can be used to lower the body/center of gravity
*Helper bar- can lift vehicle when stuck on a ledge
*Roll recovery system
I built this crawler for the build a crawler contest. I gave it high ground clearance, low center of gravity(lots of low nodes), four wheel steering, and good size tires. Put it all together, and you have a crawler that performs flawlessly. This is the best four tired crawler that i have driven. THIS THING WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP OF THE ASPEN ROCK WALL, there is some skill required though.
F1-F2 = rear steering
OK, the time has come. New version's features include
New front suspension
New wheel textures
New stacks Courtesy of Bonehead
New shock meshes Courtesy of Bonehead
Slightly larger tires
New mudflaps
Made some node non-contact so it doesn't get hung up so easy
Remember, it's built for crawling, not jumping or racing, so go for a spin on Smallisland and have some fun!
Thanks To Box5 for helping with submeshes and testing. Thanks to Bonehead for permission to use his meshes.
**You MUST have the original firetruck sterling pack and original sterling crawler pack!**
Please ask me and Box5 for permission if you want to release a modified version.
This truck performs really well on slow technical offroad terrain. Theres alot of rear articulation to make for some fun crawling. It's fairly stable at high speeds, and also drift really well on dirt in 8th gear or so.
Please remember its built for slow offroad driving mostly, so I had to sacrifice some strength in the steering/suspension to get the good articulation and twist in the axles for somewhat realistic crawling.
It has emmisive lights, I wanted to leave flares off of it.
Custom meshes include, Side steps, bed rails, Mirrors, hitch, axles.
Most my testing was done in 1st gear going through offroad terrain, thats what its built for so don't expect a high speed offroad run to hold up.
I modded Deezle's version of the Baja Renault, well here it is. All I did was redid the suspension, and it performs good, but it tips like Deezle's version. You will need to download Deezles version for this to work as its only a truck file. I renamed the truck file so it will not conflict with Deezles version.
=====**Quick Disclamer**=====
1. This is not a racer or offroader, its a crawler!!!

==================
**You may mod and redistribute, but you must contact me and Deezle** I don't know why but I put the truck into Street Car menu on the the truck list ingame.
newest Evolution of the Turtle, updated suspension, new meshes, flares, new skin, recovery mechanisms, etc.
one thing, I strove for realism on this truck, so no more crawling up the side of a building...
light commands (ctrl+):
1: rear lights
2: left hand side
3: right hand side
4: under carriage
this truck version is meant for 0.33 and greater, there is wheels2 in the file but because I'm not happy with the settings, and can't get settings that I'm happy with.
the name of the .truck file is theturtle4.truck in case you want to load it from command line
This is a great crawling rig for off-road maps, its not made for jumping or high speed but damn it crawls great!
Installation
Drop the "sterlingcrawler.zip" in your packs folder. You MUST have Box5Diesel's original firetruck sterling pack!
Notes:
I can't thank Box5 enough for the help and support he has given me with this project,
he even let me use the flatbed before he even released it along with dieselfuelonly
who helped test the truck too, thanks a bunch guys!
I hope you enjoy this rig, I'm pretty proud of it!
