This is my first attempt at making nice looking terrain, it still has some issues with FPS but does come with an FPS version.
Brutal Valley is designed mainly for off-roading with about 1 km long rock course and other tracks, but it is also good for driving, rallying or hauling.
Comes with 6 versions:
Brutal Valley (Standard)
Brutal Valley Wet (Hard)
Brutal Valley Dry (Easy)
Brutal Valley Fps (Standard)
Brutal Valley Wet Fps (Hard)
Brutal Valley Dry Fps (Easy)
Flex ramp is by Dennis-W.
Textures from Google images.
Trees/bushes by LJFHutch.
Bogs by MICRACER.
Caelum settings by Brickman.
Rest by Straubz.
Thanks to all my Beta testers that helped along the way.
If you wish to view some of the development or post your comments or any problems you find please do so in the thread Brutal-Valley

What is it?
This terrain is all about testing your skills in the various aspects of off-roading. It's pretty large with all kinds of stuff for everyone to enjoy ;D
You can rock crawl, bounce, mud bog, or race your friends baja style!
If you don't cheat, the rock crawling trail can take 1+ hours!!!
-Double diamond extreme rock crawling trail (right side)
-Diamond rock bouncing trail (left side)
-Nastiest mud bog in RoR (middle)
-LJ's rocks and vegitation meshes
-TANK TRAP!!! (bouncer trail)
-One of the largest, and most challenging, hill climbs at the end of the crawling trail
LJ for meshes
Straubz for helping me learn how to do all this in every aspect
Grecian for texture help
xGRAVEKILLERx for server
Special thanks to:
Jaw-4: has been here since beta 01! We've stayed up until 3am working on this map, and he's worked day and night with me. Provided some great pics for me to edit, like the baja mini
Ford_Boy: also been here since beta 01! He's the one who told me what other's wouldn't, such as how I went over-board with rocks XD
It's my first upload, so don't expect too much lol
Didn't do too good a job of putting the tracks in the correct places either lol
EDIT When I get round to it I'll update this with better textures and vegetation and stuff now I've figured out how to do that but I'm too busy with a couple of other things I have going at the moment. So, there will hopefully be a new version but I can't say when.
This is a off road map that features a 200m high mountain with several challenging tracks.
Straubz(me) for the terrain and mesh placement.
LJFHutch for the rocks.
MICRACER for the rest of the meshes.
1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
1. Copy .zip and paste it into your RoR terrain folder (such as "C:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsRigs of Rods 0.38terrains" (Windows 7) 2. Open the .zip and then go to a folder called "+++ Impostors +++", inside you will find a bunch of png files; copy these to wherever RoR stores imposters (default is the root directory - where the ror.exe is).
3. Run RoR and drive
I give permission for anyone to use the objects, textures, sounds and anything else created by me in this .zip for free Rigs of Rods projects provided I, LJFHutch, am credited with their creation. I also give permission to adapt or modify the objects/textures etc to suit your terrain (such as retexturing a tree's leaves, changing the saturation of the grass texture, etc), again, with proper credit and so long as you do not claim to have created them yourself. However, seek my permission for any published modification of this terrain.

Normal map shader - Artifex Terra 3D, thanks also to Nipash for helping me out with that.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out, especially DeGa and Nipash.
