Crawler Truck with hydrolic adjustable suspension.
I wanted a rock-crawler with live-axles, diff-housing and the shocks not mounted on the wheel-node, but I didnt have a body for it.
So I decided to stick the axles and suspention under the Daf Semi. That presented another problem: the top-heavy body would fall over.
Fixed that with left and right independant hydrolics: they wheel/axle can move up, but downtravel is limited to the lenght of the hydrolics (commands)
- if you get stuck, play with the hydrolics, which may help
- it is possible to flip the axles when landing from a jump
- the suspension still shakes a bit. It worked fine on the empty chassis, but the truck with the same settings does not. (Couldnt cure it)
(The cab-textures are copied and resized from Questnls Ginaf)
Technical notes:
Each wheel has 2 hydrolics (commands): from axle to extra-node and from extra-node to body. This allows them to bend in the middle to make them shorter, but they cant get any longer once the angle is 180 degrees. By making them shorter you can keep the body straight on-road, and making them longer allows more wheel-travel.
Jeep once more... Ambulance :-)
It has:
- redone all textures (manually by me: body, wheels, emissive);
- working lights (brake, side markers x 6, reverse);
- Ctrl + 1 turning on strobos (flashes). 2 x white and 2x blue in front grill, 2 x red in back lamps.
It has:
- redone (once more) all textures (manually by me: body, wheels, emissive) - it is face-lifted model;
- working lights (brake, side markers x 6, reverse);
- Ctrl + 1 turning on strobos (flashes). 2 x white, blue/red in front grill, blue/red LED on back window.
OLD VERSION!
Dodge1500, finally a official >0.33 release, insane amount of things added, deleted, modified and fixed, place the file in your packs folder and play away..
There's 2 versions, complex and simple, only use complex in singleplayer AND if you got complex tyres enabled, otherwise the wheel meshes will behave weird.
Fliprights on F9-F10, towhook adjustment on F11-F12
Nice Jeep Cherokee. Rebuild version of adeodat Jeep.
Changes:
- Redone chassis: front bumper, hood, windscreen.
- New engine, gearbox and brakes. Car is more handly and faster. 1 and 2 gear give u possibility to cruise .
- All textures are completely redone, mapping too.
- New wheels with new textures, new tires.
- 3 brake lamps, fog lamps, rear fog lamp.
This truck is designed for trails and exploration, it's a bit big for crawling courses. I took Aperion's BajaRenault (Based on Pricorde's terrain editor) and swapped the front suspension to a solid axle. The suspension is pretty soft, it is not meant for racing, although this suspension performs well for Baja driving, if you can keep it on its wheels...
Added flippers.
New rear cage with an exo cage for the cab.
Lowered gear ratios but still a high top gear for cruising/jumping.
Changed the exhaust point.
Shortened a bit in the rear.
If you have the original BajaRenault, you need to remove it before installing this truck to prevent a conflict. This file also DOES NOT contain the wheel textures, RoR already has them. The beam color you see in the picture is from me modifying the the "Rustysteel.jpg" in the trucks folder, the beams will appear normal for you...
Please ask me before uploading a modified version and give credit where credit's due (Pricorde, Aperion and me)...
A Skin and edit of the Jeep Cherokee.
It is a Toyota Land cruiser.
Rename the folder to Toyota_Landcruiser (If you want)
Thanks to Adeodat for making the Jeep Cherokee because if the jeep wasn't there then I wouldn't' have skinned the beautiful Toyota Land cruiser.
It has a bit of dirt on the side to make it a bit more realistic.
!!!Caution WILL conflict with The No_id_Jeep_Cherokee(Standard Jeep Cherokee)!!!
Simply remove the Jeep Cherokee file from the packs and add the Toyota Landcruiser
Its not so good at towing heavy loads like the RV trailer but it will tow it. (The back wheels slide a little)
I Have edited the following:
Weight: Made it heavier so now it wont flip as easy! (DON'T TURN SHARP ON THE ASPHALT AT HIGHT SPEEDS! IT WILL STILL FLIP EASY)
Suspension: I Have made it higher a little and made the wheels slightly bigger. Also the suspension is harder for better towing (you can soften it if you know how)
Gears:I Have made them shorter so the top speed is a bout 90 Km so you don't flip as easy!
Brakes:Made the brakes stronger.
Wheels: New wheel face and wheel band.
What happens when you merge a bus, a crawler, some 8 meter tall tires, and Cookie Monster?
Well... The Monster Crawler!
It is GIGANTIC. And it will go over just about anything. So far the fastest that I have completed the Aspen rock course with it is right around 45 seconds. In the Small Island map it simply rumbles over the hills like speed bumps.
It also has some very long ties that extend down from the middle of the chassis that can pick up small, light vehicles, like the Turtle. So you can take two crawlers along or a backup car to take you back to the garage. Its just a lot of fun, and a blast to drive in multiplayer with friends.
Controls: Press the "o" key to activate the ropes. Press the "n" key to turn on the "RAMPAGE ENGAGED" warning light and give the "cookie monster" bloodshot eyes.
To install, place the zip file in your packs folder. The vehicle will appear under the "Crawlers" category.
Due to the large tires, a lot of clutch overloading will occur. I have found the vehicle makes the best power at full RPM in 6-8th gear.
Credits go to Pricorde for the bus cabin structure. I resubmshed it, created the texture, and added the 3-link suspension system.
A nice has some weakness to it but it is good in other ways. If you put a cab or anything to it the frame will need a syntax added or additional beams. This is incomplete.
Caterpillar D9 bulldozer. Version 3. Fixed a problem with a duplicate material name.
Two versions are included:
-D9 crawler for towing trailers.
-D9 dozer with contactable blade, ripper and winch.
Nice, small car .
Maybe it is hard to drive (a little) but you must simply learn how to drive.
Car is optimized for offroad, not high speed. But high speed is possible too...
If you must to know car have advanced wheels - and in ROR 0.36 (and above...) you shold turn it off...
Keys:
Ctrl +:
1 - front fog lamps
2 - rear fog lamps
3 - additional front lamps
4 - high beams
5 - roof lamps (yeah )
Trailer:
F1/F2 for front legs
F5/F6 for rear legs
F3/F4 for hook high.
this is my baja liebherr pack. it has 2 versions: baja liebherr offroad and baja libeherr hauler.
CAUTION: the baja liebherr offroad version is insanley fast and you crash easy if you dont know how to drive (but thats the fun part) and it breaks easily
the baja liebherr offroad likes to do burnouts in fully manual reverse hehehe
BUGS:
Im sure you all know that the tires are really soft, well, ive found a solution.
Open up the bajalieb file and scroll down to wheels,
look for the numbers that say 85000 and change the to 8500000
this will make the tires harder
creds to aperion and me (aperion for making the truck and me for modding the heck out of it)
This is not a crawler, its more of a normal acting lifted truck with not as much articulation and better street manners. I wanted to improve my original 94 Dodge into somthing i'd use more, so I added some axles, exhaust, emissive lights, new lift and tires, color, and 2500 rear fenders. It works well offroad if u drive like a real truck would. Personally I like it alot more now, so I hope you guys do to. You dont need any other files for it to work, it's self contained in the Zip.
The truck will appear in the Offroad truck section at the truck selection screen.
