This is a working concept of a walking beam suspension for RoR, It's a simple truck, the suspension isn't, but it works, and rather interesting to drive.
Feel free to use this truck as a basic for others, just give credit where it's due.

I had a few problems that people picked up with the International trucks that I have now fixed.
A smaller problem is a naming issue with the 6x6 Long Flatbed, but the larger problem was a missing beam in the front suspension/steering "diamond" that degraded the strength of the right front wheel and allowed it to "bend" easier.
DELETE THE ORIGINAL International4700Pack.zip. YOU MUST DELETE IT! Otherwise you will get errors upon startup. Download and install this zip to the packs folder, and enjoy. It contains all the same trucks, just with the updates described above.

This is a mod of the International4700_pack. The trucks are all 1998 International 4700s and are as follows:
5th Wheel (DT466E)
Gooseneck (T444E) [read more]
This is my fire pete collection, also my custom trailer. Thanks to Arther Hucksack for the trailer skin.
Trevor for the petes and trailer.
And Qer/ Isaac for the support.
The trailer is enterable to turn on the lightbars.
My goal for these trucks was to have some more convoy type vehicles that could do pretty much anything. All have working hitches, lights, mirrors, etc. The dumpbed has a contactable surface but it doesnt seem to hold crates really at all for some reason.
All the trucks have ties in the back so if u back up close to a vehicle and press "O", u can tow it around. I commented out the ropables in the back so the ties wont grab them. Ropables in the front are behind the wheels so u can strap it to trailers or tow any of these trucks from there.
There really stable on higher speed offroad like nhelens, and if u crawl slower u can get in most places in tough offroad spots.
The cargo mesh(big canvas cover version) when rolled over, the cargo part will go in the ground, I didnt want to build a box out of beams and nodes to make it contact the ground because i wanted to keep fps as low as possible, so thats something to just live with. Other than that, enjoy.
This is my upgraded daf 4x6 semi. Changes from the previous version are
- it's shorter
- it has all the new features for 0.33 (flares and stuff)
- I tweaked the engine and gearbox a bit
- I added a new exhaust
Volvo FL12 8wd truck with ampliroll hook, version 2.
Some nodes and beams were added to the arms to make them more stable. There were some reports of it falling over the right, which I hope is fixed now.
Thanks to those who tested it.
Modified from the cement truck (it was the right size for a standard ampliroll container): it has a new unique ID, new textures, 2 new props (exhaust and hook) and it is lifted a bit for better offroading.
A finished version of Barracuda01 's Ariel Access Platform. Added textures to everything that was untextured. Fixed the textures on the cab, and gave it a Belgian Firetruck paint job.
Used a unique code ID and added some light effects (blue strobes on the basket and flashing headlights)
Legs are made invisible for aesthetic reasons, but of course have to be deployed (using F12) totally if you want to use the elevator without seeing the bottom of your truck
Daf truck with attached ampliroll trailer.
They are 1 model (like Nitro's Truck&Trailer combo) and it spawns like this from the truckshop. You can't detach the trailer from the truck.
This was just made for the fun of it, but I uploaded it here anyway. Closest thing I could think of to get an ampliroll trailer.
F1/F2 for the arm, and F3/F4 to tighten the ties even more. (they pull the load tight, but not enough to keep the container on the truck. Load container, secrure it, press F4 to keep it from moving around)
Box5Diesel's Duece and a half (more like a 5 ton, but who's counting, lol)
This thing is a jack of all trades, crawling, climbing, towing, offroad, transport, u name it. I've made it to the top of the rock course with it, which took some tries, but its doable for sure. It also likes to climb walls, lol. The video attached shows that pretty well. I hope yall get addicted to it like I have, and multiplayer starts to swarm with it, lol. Anyway, if u have any comments feel free to dicuss them in the heavy trucks showroom thread for this release.
The hitch is setup for gooseneck now, but its also got a bumper pull attached, all u need to do is change node 87 and 88 from "h" to "n" or vice versa in the truck file (I made a small section for each node to help make it easier to find in the file), you can choose either one to be "h" for which hitch u want to use at a given time.
The exhaust stack is not a mesh, so it does break if u roll on it heavy, but im hoping to learn mesh soon to have a nice axle, stack, and suspension mesh mod for this.
This is my 3rd Generation Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel Pack.
Included are two trucks, one a Mega Cab Shortbed with a receiver hitch, and the second a Mega Cab Long Bed with a 5th wheel hitch. The Mega Cab Long Bed version has the textures stretch a little bit on the bed, mainly because a Mega Cab Long Bed does not exist.
The trucks are complete with full working lights, seats, dashes, help files, appropriate commands, etc.
