The one and only Mount Hamont. A deadly road, more then 50 deaths each month, not for unskilled drivers.
Only a few made it to the village Hamont, but the most, crashed. A lot had to return, but for most, the turning back became fatal. [read more]
This is my latest map, Mt. Aasb. I released it on the forums a while ago but I thought I'd upload it to the repo. It's a really big mountain. You spawn on the top. The challenge is to get to the bottom without dying, rather like Mt. Everest; however I made the mountain a little shorter so you can get complete destruction of your car without having to wait ten minutes. Give feedback please, thanks!
My best map, made in L3DT. It is some peaks and steep hills, and the occasional cliff. It's fun to off-road, crawl, or ruin a car on. There aren't any roads or buildings, so it's optimized for FPS.
You can discuss it, and another similar map which is not on the repository here:
This is Tuanga Challenge Death Road Style Terrain. A remote village called Tuanga is in need of supplies for the winter ahead, only problem is, its 14000ft above sea level, and the nearest depo is next to the sea, (how convenient). Your challenge or mission whatever you want to call it, is to deliver the supplies safely, and quickly to the village, of course, You'll need to own a truck first. Deliver whatever you think they need, whether it be food or a new log cabin.
With 14km of terrifying cliff edge road, facing 5000ft drops and extreamly rough roads, Ice patches and hairpin switchbacks, Tuanga is sure to be your toughest challenge to date!
This is my first attempt at making nice looking terrain, it still has some issues with FPS but does come with an FPS version.
Brutal Valley is designed mainly for off-roading with about 1 km long rock course and other tracks, but it is also good for driving, rallying or hauling.
Comes with 6 versions:

Rockisland was inspired by the 1998 game Viper racing developed by MGI more info can be found in the readme, i have also included my enbseries settings in this zip, read the readme for more info on that.
i hope you enjoy it and please post any bugs or questions in my rockisland Thread here Rockisland-from-viper-racing or pm me. thanks
there is also an off road track and a drift track.
My first terrain made using L3DT and used its sapphire plugin to flatten out roads and is not too bad for my first attempt. mountains with roads running through them and an offroad course.
this is the first terrain that i have made for rigs of rods, some of you have the beta versions, seems to be no more bugs but i could be wrong
,the terrain was just for me to learn on but it kept growing into what it is now.
there's a few hill climbs, some smooth high speed dirt roads and some off road trails, if you like speed, rock bouncing or just exploring, this is a pretty big terrain.
read the read me for more info, if you find some sort of bug please let me know!
it was make to work on version 0.38

This is a challenging mountain trail beginning at 3600 meters and finishing at 200 meter. If you're a begginer you can try to go from the top to the bottom, but if you're an expert you can try to go from the bottom to the top!
Here's a little somethin for those who don't have the skills to pass Devil's Playground ^.^

I made this using L3DT and Toolkit.

The idea of the terrain was to create something challenging out of an ordinary object, in this case a road. I designed the terrain to be as steep as I could have it and still be able to make a road with it. The road works, it's a little dodgy in places, but hey it's called "Old" Shen Mountain Pass so I'll blame it on that. [read more]
Bridge and mountain
This is my next terrain. It should have smooth roads and you should enjoy driving here.

Hello ! This is my first map, i have made it in L3DT.
I've called it "Trailer Island" because it's a nice map for test your Offroad and make videos with it ( If you like it ).
It has a truck spawner and the rest is pure offroad. The sea water is not very high so it is very easy to travel in an off-road.
Sorry for some grammar mistakes
I Hope Do You Like It

DESCRIPTION
1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
This is my 1964 Jeep Wagoneer. It is currently a rock crawler/mud truck. The jeep has working hydro's in the rear to stiffen the suspension & it also has a hitch just in case you decide to pull something with it.
You need RoR version 0.38 or later version for this map to work properly. Don’t come crying because the map is slow and/or your vehicle doesn’t contact the roads. You need 0.38 or later.
it does take a minute or two for the map to load, but its worth it

In the mountains
This is my first Terrain made in L3TD. It has long road around mountains. It´s ideal for testing your brakes. It changes color from lighter to darker when you play with time. Also have spawned Scania Wrecker.

hello, this is mine terrain mod. I have added donoteat's angelscript bus route to the terrain
QUOTE donoteat
It uses angelscript to run a bus route, much like one can use angelscript for races. You drive to the first bus stop, stop, wait for ten seconds, and go to the next one. If you leave early it swears at you.
Lone Peak - Hill Climb map
Version: 1.1
Mainly added angel script race, and reworked detailled textures a bit. Also the terrain should look less polygonal in the background
It features a very wide range of roads at least 20km of it so you'll be driving through Beautiful scenery
2 marina's
Massive logging company
2 villages [read more]
Finally an update to my very cool map exploring_terrain!!
Updates:
-Added 2 more versions of the terrain (a normal without roads and a gigantic one)!!
-Added more roads in the "normal" version!
-Updated spawn zones.
This is The highest map ever in RoR, @10000 meters you will be rolling for 10 mins or try to brave it out, so far the only thing that has made it down to the bottom in one piece is my modded box5 trophy truck, do you fancy a challenge?
the spawn point is way at the top, it is possible to drive up it, but you need raw power and raw grip.
overall its very fun, reach new speeds of 500mph, i reached 464mph
NOTICE : Pralo's Caelum wont work properly in ROR version 38. Still good in 37.126.
Welcome in Pralognan La Vanoise.
This map is somehow a replica of the actual town in the Alps. It provides travellers with accommodation, transport, all for comfort and fun. The Hotel will be the perfect starting point for rides in the mountains, taking the Telepherique or just climbing the steep hills with any off-road vehicle. The boldest drivers will manage to the glacier at all costs (several truck shops can be found here and there) whereas those just eager to have a nice look at our sea of ice will take the plane. This is a small terrain I made in order to stress test my objects' collision meshes and also as a test-run of a possible Greek terrain to be made in the future. It is almost exclusively a crawling terrain, you won't make it more than a few meters in anything two-wheel-drive and even non-locking diffs will make things difficult.
Thanks to everyone who's helped me and others out over the years, I and probably many others couldn't have done it without you.
All textures and objects were made by me using photographs taken by myself and you have my permission to use, edit and re-release them for free Rigs of Rods projects, provided you credit me, LJFHutch.
