This is my 1964 Jeep Wagoneer. It is currently a rock crawler/mud truck. The jeep has working hydro's in the rear to stiffen the suspension & it also has a hitch just in case you decide to pull something with it.
Terrain description:
This is a desert island, it has no roads but tracks are marked with washed-up logs. There is a few very small settlements dotted around the island.
You start on a peninsula in the midde of the bay and drive across the sunken bridges to get to the island.
You'll need a decent offroad car as there's a section where the track dips underwater, and quite a few large mounds in the roads (where I didn't quite do the heightmap right lol)
Credits:
LJFHutch: Every single non-default object in the terrain (most of the objects I have taken from his Greece map).
PsychoDog: The actual terrain.
F1 Terrain Creator: V1.2 uses trees from the F1 Test Track.
Enjoy.
V1.2
Some fixes and improvements to the island. For the full list of all the edits read the readme. The main edits I've made is to the sunken bridges on the penninsula (I've got rid of the log section since that caused some problems when you drove over it) and added a couple more tracks and buildings. Also added some crops to the farmers field so it's not just green ground any more.
Never released Versions 1.1 - 1.19 because I didn't think there was a big enough change to justify a reupload, so this is the first update. Please tell me if I've screwed anything up that was correct in V1 and I'll fix it.
This works best with 0.38.67. If you use 0.39 there may be some extra bugs (e.g. I had a lot of collision problems when I tested with anything newer than 0.38.67) and things may not look quite right. No fixes are planned for obvious reasons (0.4 is going to be the next release, not 0.39).
*PLEASE DELETE THE OLD ZIP (Zyk.zip) BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD THIS ONE!*
I've had requests for versions of my landcruiser that work in >= 0.32 so here are the latest versions of all of my vehicles. I added flares, dashboards, and seats to them. I used the axle mesh from the trail masher on the samurai and put bonehead in the credits. I hope this is ok.
i have been thinking about this idea for a long time. and here it is a swivel crawler. the front right wheel does'nt seem like it wants to work with you when you want it to,
i don't know why, and this folds up like a sun chair so watch the movement
Latest version of my Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. I made lots of the beams on the body hidden so it looks better now. The suspension has been reworked since I first uploaded it on the forum too.
I never drive in automatic transmission mode and I think the value for the min rpm is way off you be like me and drive in manual mode and it will work fine.
Hopefully this will be my last and best version of my crawler. Using blender I reworked the body and resized it to appropriate sizes. Moved some nodes around, and skinned it (sorta, Im not much of a skinner)
So have fun, I honestly dont know what else I can do with this, but Im open to suggestions. And if youre wondering why its called "The Turtle" its because I thought it looked like one. plus the design also reminded me of the TrailTough competition buggy seen here: http://trailtough.com/images/UROC_small.jpg.
This file also include the BFG krawlers so you dont need to download any additional files and wont harm any existing trucks of mine if youve downloaded them.
There are two additional skins included:
1) a lame attempt at a turtle skin
2) template if youd like to make youre own skin.
