*New terrain shading system by Miura, you can now see al the bumps on the road much easier
*Trees are now more realisticy placed
*Boulders and log piles are now scattered around the map
This is a nice forest cruising map I made. There's almost no map that's similiar to mine, so this is unique so far.
What's on the map: Cruising gravel roads, camping spot, a few small gardens, trees (a lot of them) and various signs warning about stuff you should know.
This map has a normal version and an FPS version with much less trees and less grass.
Credits:
LJFHutch for the trees and the custom sky settings
VeyronEB for the houses
Me (OMGWTFBBQ) for the map itself
Miura for helping me with the terrain
DESCRIPTION
1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
INSTALLATION
1. Copy .zip and paste it into your RoR terrain folder (such as "C:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsRigs of Rods 0.38terrains" (Windows 7) 2. Open the .zip and then go to a folder called "+++ Impostors +++", inside you will find a bunch of png files; copy these to wherever RoR stores imposters (default is the root directory - where the ror.exe is).
3. Run RoR and drive
LICENSE
I give permission for anyone to use the objects, textures, sounds and anything else created by me in this .zip for free Rigs of Rods projects provided I, LJFHutch, am credited with their creation. I also give permission to adapt or modify the objects/textures etc to suit your terrain (such as retexturing a tree's leaves, changing the saturation of the grass texture, etc), again, with proper credit and so long as you do not claim to have created them yourself. However, seek my permission for any published modification of this terrain.

This is my latest map, Mt. Aasb. I released it on the forums a while ago but I thought I'd upload it to the repo. It's a really big mountain. You spawn on the top. The challenge is to get to the bottom without dying, rather like Mt. Everest; however I made the mountain a little shorter so you can get complete destruction of your car without having to wait ten minutes. Give feedback please, thanks!
castlegreen was inspired by the 1998 game Viper racing game developed by MGI.
it was always one of my favorite tracks to drive on among others.
if you find any bugs post them on my castlegreen forum thread here castlegreen-from-viper-racing comments are more than welcome or other ideas for terrains.
im working on a few others and like to know peoples frame rates so i dont over do it.
You need RoR version 0.38 or later version for this map to work properly. Don’t come crying because the map is slow and/or your vehicle doesn’t contact the roads. You need 0.38 or later.
it does take a minute or two for the map to load, but its worth it
New update as of 6-29-11
Redone Rockton spawn area
Load spawner at the airport
Added a bus station (its crappy says AL T )
Added a lousy oil rig
Fixed the height of the two load spawners at the port
Added American speed limit signs and parking limit signs thanks to AndrewB
Some spawn areas show the trees and some dont for better FPS, and easy too delete trees if you want.
Got laggg? read below:
The port, quarry, and rockton city / bus station spawn areas do not have trees for better FPS, delete the trees at the end of the other .terrn file if you want.
Port and airport only have the oilrig mesh enabled on the terrain. To see it on the other maps, just delete the // in front of the opocoilrig. It is contactable, but rorbot goes right through the oilrig.
A large mod of Lennis Opmap, which is now called Rockton county. It is a terrain that is about the size of the North St.Helens map. This terrain has almost everything that makes for a very fun map. A terrain with flat areas, farm land, hills, a small river/stream, a large quarry, off road trails, forest, port, neighborhoods, airport, a town called Rockton and Lakeville, industrial area, two schools, and much more that will make this terrain fun for a long time. Also it no longer conflicts with Lennis Opmap.
There are multiple places you can spawn at.:
Rockton, Lakeville, airport, port, quarry, farm, industrial area.
Credits and help:
Lenni: for this great terrain and allowing for it to be developed even further.
Box5Diesel: for letting me use various objects from his Baker Ranch map.
Credit to the creator of the trees on the F1 track.
TampaPowers: for helping to make this map now driveable at night and really shows the detail on the terrain.
Easy: for adding photo textures to my sketchup buildings, Rockton Easy bridge and helping with the terrain.
DNE: for the content upgrade package, like the signs, port pieces, industrial buildings, and row houses.
Silvermanblue: for letting me use his buildings from the Nadexmap and helping me with the map.
SkyWlf77: for using his time to contact Mirfi and him letting me use the Romania buildings
which were made by Beolex whom also gave me permission to use the buildings.
Thatsnice: for the airport jetway and helping with the map.
csxgp38-2: for making the rail station.
Adamwright: for the garage.
Busdriveruk: for the fire station which I heavily modified.
AndrewB: for the American speedlimit signs, parking, and school zone signs
Brickman: making it all work and making buildings
Since it is not officially my terrain, you can modify without my permission.
Let me know if you want to use my sketchup buildings on another map.
I made the: Optimal-Mart, airport terminal, small and large schools, police station,
fire station, rock crusher, BrickVision office, mayors house, and oil rig (please dont use the oil rig it sucks).
