New map that I made with lots of rock crawling trails. A few custom built roads for hauling. A baja race with checkpoints (timer not working), and various desert things. Make shift landing area for planes (just so they weren't left out completely).
This is just a all around useful map for anything really... Enjoy.
You need RoR version 0.38 or later version for this map to work properly. Donâ€™t come crying because the map is slow and/or your vehicle doesnâ€™t contact the roads. You need 0.38 or later.

The port, quarry, and rockton city / bus station spawn areas do not have trees for better FPS, delete the trees at the end of the other .terrn file if you want.
Port and airport only have the oilrig mesh enabled on the terrain. To see it on the other maps, just delete the // in front of the opocoilrig. It is contactable, but rorbot goes right through the oilrig.
A large mod of Lennis Opmap, which is now called Rockton county. It is a terrain that is about the size of the North St.Helens map. This terrain has almost everything that makes for a very fun map. A terrain with flat areas, farm land, hills, a small river/stream, a large quarry, off road trails, forest, port, neighborhoods, airport, a town called Rockton and Lakeville, industrial area, two schools, and much more that will make this terrain fun for a long time. Also it no longer conflicts with Lennis Opmap.

If your computer can handle it, activate HDR, the maps are pretty much designed for this (will look rather dark otherwise)

This map is pure offroad with tons of mud, really deep water crossing, rocks,... It is inspired by the extreme offroad challenge held around Ladoga lake in Russia.
Play the map with vegetation ON otherwise it will look terrible.
It features a time race - not working with the present version of RoR, but fully functionnal otherwise.

Welcome in Pralognan La Vanoise.
This map is somehow a replica of the actual town in the Alps. It provides travellers with accommodation, transport, all for comfort and fun. The Hotel will be the perfect starting point for rides in the mountains, taking the Telepherique or just climbing the steep hills with any off-road vehicle. The boldest drivers will manage to the glacier at all costs (several truck shops can be found here and there) whereas those just eager to have a nice look at our sea of ice will take the plane.
There is a ground model with different kinds of ground (snow, rock, mud, ice...), a paged geometry forest of (natural) pines, a customized Caelum sky and snowy weather can be observed in some cases. So make sure you have 100% vegetation and Caelum engaged in the configurator. No other settings are required and as the map is fitted with very large textures it wouldn't be advised to turn more option because FPS might be critical. A FPS friendly version will be provided separately.

After some long time working on this map it's finally done
It was made as showcase for the my Meshed Roads Tutorial.
What it has?
- A long Meshed Road made in Blender (yey some smooth road) - A nice landscape - Road Signals (Watch out for them, they are usefull) - Normal and FPS version (With trees and without them) - Perfect for Racing, Cruising, Hauling or launching yourself from the cliff :P

1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
1. Copy .zip and paste it into your RoR terrain folder (such as "C:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsRigs of Rods 0.38terrains" (Windows 7) 2. Open the .zip and then go to a folder called "+++ Impostors +++", inside you will find a bunch of png files; copy these to wherever RoR stores imposters (default is the root directory - where the ror.exe is).
3. Run RoR and drive
I give permission for anyone to use the objects, textures, sounds and anything else created by me in this .zip for free Rigs of Rods projects provided I, LJFHutch, am credited with their creation. I also give permission to adapt or modify the objects/textures etc to suit your terrain (such as retexturing a tree's leaves, changing the saturation of the grass texture, etc), again, with proper credit and so long as you do not claim to have created them yourself. However, seek my permission for any published modification of this terrain.

This map is a little something I made just to have some rocks to crawl on. It's really fun with the Exocage Suzuki Samurai, it can crawl nice and slow, and if you pick your line well, you can make it all the way through. That's whats fun about it, its technical enough for the smaller vehicles to really feel like you have to be smart about what rocks you go on.
There is a High quality version, and a high fps version for people with slow computers (but the ground texture is alot worse).

It's the first map I ever made, it was originally for 1nsane. It has been converted to RoR with great success, in terms of details, height resolution, vegetation, mud and rocks. There are plenty of things to be done there. Each part is designed for you to have fun. It's mainly good for offroad.

This is a terrain with many crawling spots. The ground is snow and grass. It is many roads with 3 bigger villages and 2 smaller. It is also 2 airports and one littel bit taxiroad.
Secondking helped me with the new ground, so if you have the new updates to ROR it will be more slippery on the snow.
It is available to get grass on it but i don't use it (my computer can't handle it)

Yet another version of the Flatmap terrain. This time it is a mod of DNEs flatmap with his roads. (So I can have something to start with to mod the map).
This is Flatsville county. A small county with about a population of 1000. Low taxes make this a good place to start a business. All kinds of jobs are available here from a bus driver, truck driver, lawyer, farmer, teacher, pilot, crane operators and so much more.
Known bugs: Some buildings have no collision like the logging mill, your tires will get stuck in the middle of the police parking lot, and some lag when you look across the map.
There are multiple places you can spawn at.( change the spawning place by changing the .terrn file.

This is a modified version of Asphalt Wash (all files included). It has a truckstop, a road leading down into the low part of the map. and a main road going throughout the valley. i made a road over the mountain and a road going to where i am going to place an airport. You can do whatever you want with it, I even ask that you put towns and such on the map. As long as i get credit for making the main road (just put K.Holgerson-main road) =). If you dont know how to make the roads stay on the map, exit the game, look for "Editor Out" and copy the text and put in the desired map. Have fun editing =)
This is Tuanga Challenge Death Road Style Terrain. A remote village called Tuanga is in need of supplies for the winter ahead, only problem is, its 14000ft above sea level, and the nearest depo is next to the sea, (how convenient). Your challenge or mission whatever you want to call it, is to deliver the supplies safely, and quickly to the village, of course, You'll need to own a truck first. Deliver whatever you think they need, whether it be food or a new log cabin.
With 14km of terrifying cliff edge road, facing 5000ft drops and extreamly rough roads, Ice patches and hairpin switchbacks, Tuanga is sure to be your toughest challenge to date!

The mountain is around 530m tall, and the key feature of the terrain, is the insane road that spirals it way to the peak. There is a tall communications mast situated on the summit, owned by the small company: "Eagles Peak Telecom International", who have a small office at the islands port. There is a small port/base area with a hanger, docks, ferry loader, truckshop, load spawner.

this map is for driving or if you want to fly you can still do that, it has a ski jump made for cars and has a very long highway, there are a maze of roads for you to drive on, with signs which are labelled 130, 90, 60 etc, THESE ARNT SPEED SIGNS, they are an indication to which road you are on. i hope you will enjoy this much improved update, if you have already downloaded RE-DOWNLOAD.
This is a map that simulates the snowy conditions found in the Washington Cascades. I spent
a while making this terrain and the results include:

My first terrain for ROR: a small island with a peak.
There are 3 ways to clib the hill:
a) a large, concrete road that can be used, not easly, even for bus or big truck.
b) a narrowed off road way that start almost at 1/2 of the road a)
c) a off road way that start from another place (find it)
