a version of the flatmap with a test ramp. YOU NEED THE ORIGINAL TEST RAMP IN THE MESHES FOLDER (0.36.2) OR PACKS FOLDER (0.35 OR BELOW). For people having problems: i tested this on 0.36.2 and i dont know if it works in 0.35.
I remember u that after that you make an extract copy of flatmap, the original one (the zip one) must be deleted. if u have other problem search Test Ramp and followm the instrucyion that the original uploader gives you

Notice to modders, I dont mind you adding roads and other stuff to this terrain. When you release it, make sure it is an addon(so you dont end up uploading my terrain as yours just because you stuck a road in it).

Hi mates This is a terrain i did ( 20% of it !!! ) some time ago, but unfortunately abandoned because of the lack of time... Still, it is quite cool and realistic. This is a simple dragstrip that itaxi requested/had the idea, and bigcody123 made the main mesh, and I made the actual terrain and placed the buildings and setup the spawn points.

New map that I made with lots of rock crawling trails. A few custom built roads for hauling. A baja race with checkpoints (timer not working), and various desert things. Make shift landing area for planes (just so they weren't left out completely).
This is just a all around useful map for anything really... Enjoy.

First a disclaimer:
This pack is merely an updated small island. As such, it does not include a unique ID. It is intended to overwrite the zip included with RoR in streams/final/terrains. Also it may not function as intended due to updates which I have not yet tried out. Updating RoR overwrites this file, so keep a backup.
Now the info:
What it is: Small island with new traction features implemented.
What I did: I started by copying mudfests traction code into the terrain folder and modifying the .terrn file to use that. I then used the texture file to place different traction sections and saved the resulting product as a seperate image. The Paint.NET file is included in the zip with layers intact so further edits are possible.
Why it matters: Due to changes in the traction code, Small Island had been unclimbable since .35. this new version restores traction so it is more realistic. I may have overcompensated, but the cfg file for traction can be played with if you are not satisfied. Rocks now include more traction, and there is mud and sand.
Rights: I don't care what you do with this or if you do release changes. If I needed to request permission for anything in this mod, let me know and I will fix what I can.
Other: Comments, questions, complaints, or suggestions can be pm to me, and if needed I will open a thread. I am willing to make changes if requested specifically and they would improve the map. Request shoulb be something like this: "traction at _______ on map is _________, and a change like _______ would _______." Specifics help.
My first terrain for ROR: a small island with a peak.
There are 3 ways to clib the hill:
a) a large, concrete road that can be used, not easly, even for bus or big truck.
b) a narrowed off road way that start almost at 1/2 of the road a)
c) a off road way that start from another place (find it)
The reason i did this is that i wanted to show you Ogre's 3D ability to render huge terrains with VERY SMALL CAMERA SHAKE, with the help of a little trick i discovered. Now, the shake issue is just like on a 10x10km terrain
Can be used for planes, rockets or just as a "tech-demo".
NOTE: On my AMD Athlon X2 4200+, 1GB DDR2, ATi HD4550 512DDR3, i have 110 FPS in OpenGL flying a jet plane.
Stone Mtn terrain. another edit. has a scania loader, truck shop, airport, flat area for takeoff. all DEM data except the flat area that you start on courtesy of USGS database. PLZ MOD. ATTENTION-THIS WILL(should) REPLACE THE OLDER STONE MTN MAP.
