This is the final and last version of Nissan 350Z for Rigs of Rods.
Even if the original submesh model of this car is more than 2 years old its still a headturner!
Since then I edited the nearly everyday to make it look, sound and feel like its real counterpart.
Here are the most important notes:
- the body and suspension is a RoR classic setup made out of a nodes, beams and a submesh
- the engine is tuned to behave like the original one
- the transmission should be shifted manually and has real gear ratios
- the car can easely go to 250 km/h
- the suspension is set up for both drifting and highspeed stability
- the sounds are carefully collected and mixed so can get that good V6 sound in your ear
- i havnt include a tire sound. it got annoying after a while
- there is also a roadster/ convertible version in the file
- and many more things...
I havnt a specific forum tread for this car. If you have questions or want to mod the please PM me.
Since the base content is now shipped separately, here is Belgium on the repository for you to re-discover it!
It's the first map I ever made, it was originally for 1nsane. It has been converted to RoR with great success, in terms of details, height resolution, vegetation, mud and rocks. There are plenty of things to be done there. Each part is designed for you to have fun. It's mainly good for offroad.
I'd like to thank the following members for their help during this first map building, they gave me the RoR-love (I may shed a tear ;-) ):
Starling Island is an island map for Rigs of Rods (tested with v0.38.67), tuned for roleplaying. The map features:
- Port Starling - A large coastal town with docks, a marina, emergency service buildings and lots of nasty, tight corners, everything cramped around Starling bay
- Smaller towns and islands
- A large open mining area that happens to double as a neat spot to wreck vehicles
- An airstrip
- A bus stop network
- Cute details
- 6 Starling Island public service vehicles
- 3 spawn points
- Redeye (terrain, object placement, some objects, vehicle reskins & minor modifications)
- donoteat (Penguinville buildings & roads - much of this map's eye candy heavily relies on his work)
- Betzi (houses)
- Lenni (original Sprinters & Firetruck)
- Arthur Hucksake (original Stepvan)
- Some objects from the stock North St. Helens map have been utilized
- Trees from the stock F1 test track have been utilized
1. Unpack into your Rigs of Rods "terrains" folder
2. Regenerate Cache
3. Have fun!
Please delete your old Starling-Island folder before you install this one.
- Updated the Weasel rescue boat with the new, smoother-handling version
- Converted lots of textures to .dds
- Minor stuff
- Unless bugs or issues with future RoR versions arise, this is considered the "final" Starling Island. Have fun!
Road and village
I would like to show you my terrain. It was made in Ror Toolkit. Do not expect much from it - it is my first terrain. It is based on Lenni´s Opmap
Lenni (terrain model and objects)
masfilip (new object placing, lamps)
Betzi (house models)
Updated on 11.september 2012
-FPS, FPS without races, normal version, normal version without races
-lot of roads and villages, lamps in normal version
-airport for flying with your favourite plane, marina for exciting shippings with boat, trainshop for funny rides with trains and certainly truckshop
-spawned vehicles - enter and drive
-Angelscript races (from Nt.Helens map, my first try ;-))
-bustops for fun with buses ;-)
-railroad with switchers
1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
1. Copy .zip and paste it into your RoR terrain folder (such as "C:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsRigs of Rods 0.38terrains" (Windows 7) 2. Open the .zip and then go to a folder called "+++ Impostors +++", inside you will find a bunch of png files; copy these to wherever RoR stores imposters (default is the root directory - where the ror.exe is).
3. Run RoR and drive
I give permission for anyone to use the objects, textures, sounds and anything else created by me in this .zip for free Rigs of Rods projects provided I, LJFHutch, am credited with their creation. I also give permission to adapt or modify the objects/textures etc to suit your terrain (such as retexturing a tree's leaves, changing the saturation of the grass texture, etc), again, with proper credit and so long as you do not claim to have created them yourself. However, seek my permission for any published modification of this terrain.
Road sign textures - public domain, Swedish Transport Administration.
Normal map shader - Artifex Terra 3D, thanks also to Nipash for helping me out with that.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out, especially DeGa and Nipash.
This is a Thomas Saf-T-Liner HDX and my first vehicle I have done all of the work getting it in game.
This is (as far as I know) RoR's first flexbody school bus!
The project is ongoing, so expect issues followed by fixes that cause other issues.
(Official Release 1.0)
~Put the roof running lights back (still haven't placed the rear ones)
~Brought back proper collision (now collision doesn't cause weird shaking)
~The front wheel meshes aren't balanced (noticeable at high speeds).
~The bus is larger than most buses. I should have scaled it better when I had the chance.
~Rear 3 red running lights haven't been placed yet.
~Deformation isn't very realistic.
Ever since I joined RoR I've loved modding buses, and am one of the few 'bus people' who is sick of seeing a *BRAND NEW* CE300 mod every week... In order to make up for it I decided to make my own bus that was different, original, and somewhat high quality for my experience level. So I decided to make an HDX, because type D's are rare in RoR and it is very easy to model.
Don't bust my chops about it, its my first vehicle I've ever made.
-Animated props (including openable e-door and driver window)
-Flexbody (non-FPS versions)
-Changeable textures all over the bus (main body color, roof color, rim color, seat color [comes with pre-packaged seat textures], window color/tint, crossing guard front color, and bus #.
-TC, ABS [off by default], Slopebrake
-Working fans and other random animated props (after 39.7 is released)
-Under-body (currently there are no axles or anything)
-Fix the spikes on the bottom of the mirror
-Other small adjustments
-Convert all textures to DDS (my DDS plugin for photoshop doesn't work so it is easier to save as png for quicker editing)
Sirendude2011- Making the n/b
School Bus Fans & School Bus Builders group- critiquing and suggestions
TC2000FE- Engine sounds
Carsonj493- Mirror mesh
graysonk95- meshes, tuning n/b, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc... [everything else]

Hello this is a little Mod of the original Desert Trails. I just add some Roads, Sign and Houses (From the Greece Map)
I've put the roads with the Renault Terrain Editor Truck. I've not replace all the driveables zones with roads just some parts
Anyway I hope that you like this map and if YES help me with some advice, I will appreciate it
LJFHutch for the default map and other objetcs.
LJFHutch for his Greece's Houses and Church
RoR Toolkit for put in the map signs and other things
Renault Crane for helped me put roads in the map (http://www.rigsofrods.com/repository/view/3765) and for the Tutorial by pedropp22

This is a small map I built for my erectable wind engine.
- Contains all parts of my fully transportable and erectable wind engine. See included manual for button assignments
- A winding road to transport the windmill pieces
- A small train track with tunnels
- Nice looking textures and vegetation (Thanks for all your help DeGa!)
It´s a package of german fire trucks of a fictional Fire Department from the fictional town Marktheim.
So that are a
-Command Vehicle (VW T3)
-PERSONAL CARRIER (VW T3)
-Tanker Truck (MB 1113 LAF)
-second Tanker Truck with water cannon (MB NG 80)
-Fire Engine (MB NG 80)
-Equipment Vehicle (MB NG 80)
-Ladder Truck (MB NG 74)
and a smaller Fire Engine from a village near Marktheim that called "Oberdorf" (MB O'607D)
Originally made for the 10-Day Trail Truck Build-Off, but we decided it was a good idea to finish it up and release a final version.
Base pickup/Light trail rig
Heavy duty dually pickup/Hauling rig
Fully detailed and realistic meshes
Realistic performance and limitations on all versions
Opening doors, hood and tailgate (F1-F8)
Animated pedals, shifter and steering wheel
MP ready flextires
Custom truck for towing vehicles from 5 to 20 tons, also can be used for light weight vehicles, however I do not recommend it.
Characteristics: high strength, good control and stability to handle and friendly to FPS.
Also is equipped with a digital speedometer and tachometer, plus wheels high quality.
I felt like RoR needed a new 53' trailer, so I whipped one up.
DODGEcharger (me) - Everything pertaining to the trailer
Skype group - motivation and support
Dryvan and Reefer version
Accurate and detailed model
Flares2+materialflares for the best look at night
Opening doors (Ctrl+F3/F4)
Plenty of ties for securing your load
Skins are ok to release without my permission, you must use the skinzip system though. But beware, skinzips will break the materialflares, it's a known bug. As for other forms of modding, you are required to have my permission if you want to release the modification. Modding for personal use is fair-game as always.
I decided to release it how it is, and see how it does on peoples computors. I have a pretty basic computor, and it runs fine in both multiplayer and solo. Most people shouldnt have any problems running good FPS on this map. Please dont mod it yet, becuase im gonna keep working on it and upgrading things and release a update in the future.
-Real weight, real power, real scale. (so don't expect to tow the ror trailers that way a kabillion lbs.)
-Lockers (press W)
-Operational dump bed, & tailgate
-Contactable bed to load vehicles or objects with ties (press O to tie down load)
-Animated winches on all except cargo version, some even have a rear winch.
-Flexbody everything pretty much
-Detailed Animated Interior with shifter.
-custom deuce sounds, with added turbo
-Shader shows up black sometimes, restart ROR until it appears normal, or download boring material below and drop in deuce zip.
-5th wheel version breaks when hooking to some trailers
-No flexbody tires (would be way to cpu heavy, it already is)
WARNING: make sure you run RoR "as an administrator", otherwise the map will crash, it's like this...
- Added a full new map, dirt track, rally style
- Reworked all ground textures and materials, now features normal mapping and alpha splatting
- Reworked the vegetation a lot
- Reworked caelum sky and atmosphere
- Angelscript races for both maps
Thanks a lot to LJFHutch, who let me use his birch grass texture.
Thanks also to Lifter, I used a few objects from a previous project that he modelled and I textured.
You may like to download the K700 from ZTS which fits good in the scenery: http://www.rigsofrods.com/repository/view/781
Activate the vegetation, the maps are really based on it.
If your computer can handle it, activate HDR, the maps are pretty much designed for this (will look rather dark otherwise)
Some videos better than long texts (the car in the second video is not available, don't ask)
This map is pure offroad with tons of mud, really deep water crossing, rocks,... It is inspired by the extreme offroad challenge held around Ladoga lake in Russia.
Play the map with vegetation ON otherwise it will look terrible.
It features a time race - not working with the present version of RoR, but fully functionnal otherwise.
Fir trees not made by me - I don't know who made them, thanks a lot they're great!
Rock textures from CGTextures.com
Edit by Repo Admin: Includes a version for v0.4, conversion by klink.
Quite big update, even if everything cannot be seen:
- A big rock
- More trails
- Performance optimization
- Underwater is dark
- Detailled textures reworked
- Better shading
A small island with detailled ground for offroad fun! Try to get on the water near the marina, there is a path there.
You will also find a giant parabolic antenna and an oil buoy inspired by Brent Spar where you can land with an helicopter.
There is also a little rock-crawling trail.
Hope you'll like it
Thanks Lifter for testing
CGtextures for Brent Spar and ground
Map made with L3DT
YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST RIGS OF RODS 0.38.33 TO USE THIS CAR. THIS CAR WILL NOT WORK WITH AN OLDER VERSION OF ROR.

Here's my jeep, it's been in development for nearly a year, it's my first vehicle that I finished.
-Seperate hood/grille, for (atleast decent) deformation (My first try):
"Deformation is awesome." -Gabester -Dana 44 axles

I've used real life gear ratios from both the gearbox and transfercase.
With custom sounds.
Credits to Fat-Alfie for his shock texture.
-38" Pitbull Rockers
-Custom made rollcage
-Openable boot and bonnet
-A wide variety of moving parts
-Super soft tyres
Thanks to Fat-Alfie's wheelbeams

[18-03-2012]-Fixed the idle sound, added ropables, made steering stronger. [08-05-2012]-Wheels tuning: added meshwheels2 and did some more tuning to Fat-Alfie's wheelbeams. Less bouncy wheels, better handling on and off the trails. -Minor fixes.
Minor Update! Now added Shadows and Ambient Occlusion Bake!
0.4 VERSION ON THE FIRST POST OF THE THREAD! Official Thread
Watch this please, just 1 minute
A Short Story you should read..
"Explorers have found this abandoned place in some unknown location. Perfect Condition, like if somebody, ...or something, has been living there.
Not a single sign of vegetation of other life signs is noticeable. The weather is always Cloudy, but it never Rains. Some weird Structures are present there, some of them have some strange signs on them, and the word N-LABS, probably the name of this place. A lab, to test what?.."
Quote from Explorers Diary:
"This place is Quiet and Spooky. Some of us are acting strange. We felt like being Watched. Those Towers, there is no way to get up there, no entrance, and we can't see trough those dirty windows. [...] At night we hear strange metallic sounds, we can't find the source of them. Maybe this place isn't as abandoned as we tought..." - Rest of the page were stripped off
Additional Notes from the Explorers found on the last page of the Diary:
-CryEngine SDK (Ground Texture)
The Explorer never returned home. We don't know who sent us the Diary.
This is Tuanga Challenge Death Road Style Terrain. A remote village called Tuanga is in need of supplies for the winter ahead, only problem is, its 14000ft above sea level, and the nearest depo is next to the sea, (how convenient). Your challenge or mission whatever you want to call it, is to deliver the supplies safely, and quickly to the village, of course, You'll need to own a truck first. Deliver whatever you think they need, whether it be food or a new log cabin.
With 14km of terrifying cliff edge road, facing 5000ft drops and extreamly rough roads, Ice patches and hairpin switchbacks, Tuanga is sure to be your toughest challenge to date!
Thanks to Miura for this monumental update
Now with working races and the bug where you fall through the road has gone! All thanks to Miura
New Sky including animated clouds
Fantastic detail including brand new alpha maps/textures and a whopping fps improvement
Spawn point added at the top
New resting area
So this is the new version of the "highliner" double deck EMU, commonly found on the Metra Electric lines in Chicago. This is a 2 car arrangement only. 4, 6 and 8 car versions are in development however, there seems to some issues with nodes2 and slidenodes.
-Working Doors F5/6/7/8
-Working Pantographs F9/10
-Unfinished Cab Interior
-Realistic(ish) acceleration and top speed
Installation & Safe Usage:
-Place the file "highliner.zip" in the packs folder.
-Don't drive round very sharp corners over 30mph.
-Don't try and switch tracks over 50mph.
-Don't try and couple this to any other train. I know it's tempting but it's an EMU you idiots.
-Support/Comments: Forum Thread
-To spawn on train valley add this line to the .terrn:
I have decided to release MitCity officially, since I won't do any more work on it, I find it a bit of a waste to just "cancel" MitCity after how far it's come, so now, go enjoy the Final Release of MitCity.
The Map has countless elements suitable for roleplay, it has a fire station, a hospital, an impound lot, repairshop, car dealer, airport (non working) gas stations, variaty of houses from flats to villas. it even has a test centre for cars, test the suspension there, or do a full spec crashtest. the possibilities are endless!
RoR's first urban map. Updated to work with 0.36.x
Map by Donoteat.
Objects by Donoteat.
Support by Lepes.
Oops Insurance building by kitteh.
Nonworking (for now) traffic lights.
Two and a half tons of distilled awesome for your enjoyment.
YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST RIGS OF RODS 0.38.33 TO USE THIS CAR. THIS CAR WILL NOT WORK IN AN OLDER VERSION OF ROR.
Updated with improved suspension, handling, and crashing behavior! The exterior camera is also now correctly centered on the car.
Gavril Zeta by Gabester
This is a compact SUV.
Separate detaching parts (hood, doors, trunk, fenders, mirrors, and bumpers)
Stable on-road handling
Excellent off-road capability (except for the R and 2WD)
ABS and traction control
Meshwheels2 for sharper handling
Please DO NOT modify this without my permission. Thanks.
Been a long time in the works. Finally came to a spot I want to release it. No opening doors or dump bed, didn't wanna fuss with that stuff since I never use them. It has detail where it counts I think, in the suspension parts, texture work, damage, etc. Has a rear hitch for towing. Hope you like it.
Here it finally is! The Bombardier ALP-45DP dual powered locomotive.
It comes in two different liveries, AMT (Canada) and NJT (USA).
Both a version of the locomotive in diesel and in electric mode is available, only difference are the sounds and the removed exhausts on electric version.
Please carefully read the instructions BEFORE posting useless questions:
Use the train spawner placed on the map (small building where it says "Trains") or place it on a straight track piece via the .terrn file, DO NOT spawn in the truck spawner this will not work.
The ALP uses default truck controls. Always stay in automatic-transmission, it will not shift in the second gear!
F5/F6: to rais or lower the pantograph.
CTRL + 1: change directional lighting
CTRL + 2: front ditch lights
CTRL + 3: front lights
CTRL + 4: rear ditch lights
CTRL + 5: rear lights
CTRL + 6: wipers
The knouckle couplers couples other trains (using the same coupler, of course...) like other ALP's automatically. When coupled, both carriages are connected to each other ingame. If you want to uncouple two carriages, you need to unlock couplers on BOTH carriages in between you want to uncouple. The ALP has a small lever next to the rear knuckle coupler (with a lock/unlock-sign next to it) that can be grabbed by mouse. Pull to "unlock" position on both carriages and done. Not that complicated.
sputnik_1 - Without him this would not have been possible. He made trains actually work in Rigs of Rods (as you will see after reading this and testing the locomotive), outgoing from donoteats basic layout design. Furthermore he helped a lot with tweaking the ALP, to make it drive as good as it does. Many many thanks mate!
donoteat - He once had the idea to bring trains to RoR and made the great layout we are now using.
And thanks to the inveted members who tested this!
Added ropables so it can now be lifted with a crane.
Game might crash when you want to couple two ALP's, to avoid this disable high quality refelctive effeckts!
This is the trailer I started a ways back its not done but I am not continuing with it because I am working on something else. I also lost the original unwrap so I have to redo that and really don't wanna redo that. So I figured I would share at least what I have done if some whats to fix/mod what ever do so freely.
Only author is me.
Known problems-handle mesh twitch's, suspension is really stiff, ties are to tight
this is my second map. as im learning i am trying to make maps that aren't boring as i see all the time. map making is something i would really like to get into but i need to learn tool kit, if you can help me with that please let me know.
credits to LJFHutch and Masa for all meshs.

Here's a little somethin for those who don't have the skills to pass Devil's Playground ^.^
"Best of Mountain Bash and Small Island" Jaw-4
3 days ago I was showing my friend how maps randomly generate, and I happened to get a really awesome one. So I carved tons of intersecting trails around and through mountains
Great FPS, I average around 30 in MP with 3 other people, and I don't have a super computer!
Some of the hills are hard, some are easy, but it's a good ol' MP trail riding map
Some trails only work 1 way
Most fun to drive in with a truggy or the box5 Yota
***YOU MUST USE CAELUM SKY OR ELSE VEHICLES WILL TURN PINK***
Thanks to beta testers:
Since the original thread is locked, here is a repo entry for my 2nd Generation Saf-T-Liner C2.
As an incentive to re-download, I toyed with the transmission a bit to improve power at low speeds and increase the top speed.
Additionally, I corrected some syntax issues, so the bus is now compatible with NextStable 0.4.0.5.
This bus is designed for 0.4 but will still work in 0.38.
The bus features 28 unique combination of options including:
-Different body types
-4x4 offroad setup
A full description of options, controls, and other information can be found in the forum thread here: Thomas-Saf-T-Liner-C2
No public mods of this bus will be allowed, however, you may distribute customized textures (for a company for example).

Diamond Brook is a small town map that I made! I have tested it and it works very well with only one bug where the grass messes up a bit (Not where you can't use it)
I worked very hard on this map and I hope you like it!
Update 7/2/15: converted the sounds to mono so that they will change with camera distance, also fixed starter sound, you need to delete the old file before installing this one
I decided to make a 3D model of my favorite school bus (in order to 3D print a 1:160 scale model) and the 3D model came out good, so I decided to use it to make my first vehicle comes with first person view, 72mph top speed (4th gear), interior, and lights; uses the Amtran RE chassis that BlueBirdBusCo started work on; I'm probably going to drive it around a lot because the IC RE is my favorite bus
Things to watch out for:
-the wheels/suspension are really bouncy, so try to take it easy on the bumps
-the turning radius is rather large, typical of a rear engine school bus
-it flips if you turn really hard (obviously)
authors: me (lights, body, interior), BlueBirdBusCo (chassis, sounds) http://youtu.be/C2MZSQhhDEY
EDIT: I got written permission from BlueBirdBusCo, he said it's OK that I used his chassis, please put this back up

This is fall Run, a terrain i started .. i think in the fall here last year! me and it went through some hard times lol but it is finished.
there are a few versions that include a low FPS, FPS a Detailed version that uses a tweaked version of the ETTerrain.material, two races have been added, one on the road and one off.
there's a little something i added in to have fun with and you may see it when you go to load your terrains, just look for slinky :P
i tried a few new things with this terrain, fire particles, other particles, sounds and water and the new material.
credits to haselnut116601 from the Ror forums here for the cat 330c animation, the (ashes48_330c.skeleton) very cool stuff! and i think this will open something new up to new terrains
