This is the FLK-1500, a strong crawler crane and designed by AIN_002. The crane is not mapped but you can still skin some parts and change colors of meshes. I recommend downloading the skin pack from Rotexx. Uploading your own skin is allowed but please upload it as a skinzip.
F1/2 - Rotating the crane
F9/10/11/12 - Moving the tracks
You can view the rest of the commands in the T-screen

There might be coming more version of this crane like something with a jib but that will be a matter of time.
This zip also includes counterweight for the crane, which can simply be locked to the back of counterweight-arm with L!
Oh and before more people start crying about this: The counterweight can't be lifted off the ground when there is no heavy load in the hook! (which is logical and real!).

It can load 1x 40', 45' or 48' are also possible, but that may result in too much front and rear overhang and then the container might hit the tractor unit.
The other possibilities are 2x 20', 1x 20' in the middle or at the end with retracted chassis back.
You can extend and retract the rear end to fit different containers on, and it is possible to adapt the suspension to different heights and loads,
the command keys show up in the ingame preview.
There is also a version with two containers fixed to the trailer for people who don't bother loading or unloading it.
If you want to reskin it please use the GUID system and skinzip files, then you can upload your skins to the repo.
Don't modify anything else or use parts of it on other models without my permission please.

I have decided to release MitCity officially, since I won't do any more work on it, I find it a bit of a waste to just "cancel" MitCity after how far it's come, so now, go enjoy the Final Release of MitCity! it will work in RoR 0.38, just some of the objects won't be collidable. in 0.39 everything is collidable.
The Map has countless elements suitable for roleplay, it has a fire station, a hospital, an impound lot, repairshop, car dealer, airport (non working) gas stations, variaty of houses from flats to villas. it even has a test centre for cars, test the suspension there, or do a full spec crashtest. the possibilities are endless!
around the mountain is an area that reminds me of where i grew up, a lot of strip mine roads with switchbacks, you will find a few hill climbs in this one as well as a mud bog track, the track uses the race script so it keeps time on how long your lap is,
its the first time i have use the angel script so i hope there's no bugs other than it not finding the server thing..
i put a lot of work into this to make it as frame per second friendly as i could, you will notice a few versions when you get ready to load the terrain.
on this terrain i set up ArtifexTerra3D to place my RGB maps so that made things a lot easier when placing the texture. ( my others i had done by hand ) and ArtifexTerra3D allowed me to blend the textures and overlap when i needed,
i'll set up a tutorial for this if anyone is interested. ( just send my a PM )
on a side note my gaming PC died a few days ago, and i don't have money to fix it at the moment so my other projects that im working on have came close to a standstill until get that up and running again.
any and all comments are very welcome! it just drives me to build more and better terrains, take this one as an example,( compare to my last terrains ) i added sound effects and a moving waterfall on the normal version ( though the waterfall didn't work out the way i had hoped)
i hope to keep bringing the rigs of rods community more and better things in the future!
you will find that the mud bog race is rather fun but not to be taken in some vehicle due to the depth of some of the mud and some of the way that tyres are set up in some vehicle.
anyways, i hope you enjoy this terrain and i hope to bring more to you all very soon. and later i do plan to convert all my terrains to Version 0.4.0.7 or above. i know the Version 0.4.0.7 looks very promising on performance!
1- left/right legs up/down parted: ctr+f9/f10 left legs up/down and turning all cylinders
- ctr+f11/f12 right legs up/down.
2 -shocks unlock press f4 (press alt L is no longer necessary ).
3 -jib-s3 weighs much less ,better useful for jib-s6(it also less strong but strong enough for - 1000kg /booms out -350 kg).
1-added -heavy winch for the crane self.
2-auto instalation winch cable.
3-winch cable visual better.
4-shocks for the crane self.
1-First press alt L (or f4 in version 2.3 ) for unlock the shocks.
This shock care for load activation (other wise loads will not move or damage )and for damping the crane.
2-Spawn and hooks the jibs on the crane what you need.
. Spawn- more than 10 m from the centre of the crane.
. Spawn-the jibs not to close them together , when it will wake it will hooks on the same time ,what destroying is as a result is
3-Move the hooks of both jibs(also the both winch hooks) to the centre off the crane .
4-Wait-for see 2 hook lines if you used 2 jibs(1hook line 1jib).
Do not edit the MESH in any way shape or form without my permission. If you want to use
the n/b all I ask is that you PLEASE consult with me first. Public or private. You are free
to make custom colors, change the motor, wheels, etc. But do not edit the verts on anything
here in this zip.

I present to you, the 1915 Ford Model T. This holds the name of the oldest real car ever to be put into RoR. This is the Original "Go everywhere, anywhere" car.
There are 6 versions. There is a Pickup truck (2WD and 4WD), a Sedan, a Coupe, a Touring, and a Junker version. The gear ratios/axle ratios/wheel size/engine power/top speed are all real specifications. The top speed is a physically limited 40 MPH on the dot for all versions except the power-degraded Junker. The Junker's top speed is closer to 30. All versions except the Junker have 21 Horsepower. Junker has around 18. You cannot drive this car in Automatic Transmission mode, as the gap between 2nd and 3rd, then 3rd and 4th are too large for the game to gearshift between them correctly. Thus, you must drive in Manual or Fully Sequential gearbox mode to get up to cruising speed.
These vehicles are not flexbody, and each on average have between 10K and 20K polys total including all 4 wheels. Honk the horn for a sound only '10s - '30s Fords can produce. Aoooga! Sometimes when you turn, it heavily understeers because the front axle is not very strong, so be careful.
Custom sounds are thanks to DODGE charger (thank you!)
All meshes and N/Bs are thanks to myself, Sirendude2011.
Do not mod this vehicle. Treat this like you would a real Model T 100 years of age. Would you (attempt) to hellaflush a Model T? No, so don't do it. Same goes for hydraulics and lifts with mud tires. It is impossible to skin it with anything except solid colors (no designs), so don't try.
Enjoy this historic vehicle! The driving experience is like no other vehicle in RoR history, believe me.
6/4/2013 UPDATE- improved, non-headache-inducing engine sound loops, horn can now be honked properly!
Originally made for the 10-Day Trail Truck Build-Off, but we decided it was a good idea to finish it up and release a final version.
Base pickup/Light trail rig
Heavy duty dually pickup/Hauling rig
Fully detailed and realistic meshes
Realistic performance and limitations on all versions
Opening doors, hood and tailgate (F1-F8)
Animated pedals, shifter and steering wheel
MP ready flextires
This is a 80's Suzuki Samurai.
It does about everything a semi-stock Samurai should. It has had a diesel swap (big thing crawlers did at the times). Low range 5 speed. Lockable diffs, half decent crawling suspension. Pulls trailers decently and pulls straight. Has all the newer RoR things, like traction control, abs, and other great things.
Original vehicle- squishy
N/b rework and other things- Me, rorlover563
Disclaimer-The stated people above own the parts that i used and i am not claiming them as my own in anyway.
this is my second map. as im learning i am trying to make maps that aren't boring as i see all the time. map making is something i would really like to get into but i need to learn tool kit, if you can help me with that please let me know.
credits to LJFHutch and Masa for all meshs.
also, please keep in mind that i hand placed all objects without toolkit
Custom truck for towing vehicles from 5 to 20 tons, also can be used for light weight vehicles, however I do not recommend it.
Characteristics: high strength, good control and stability to handle and friendly to FPS.
Also is equipped with a digital speedometer and tachometer, plus wheels high quality.
So alot has been updated in this pack, the skin is totally new, the tires are new, the lights are sharper and brighter. A re-bored engine giving 3000 revs more capable of pulling very heavy loads, especially with a new 18 gear transmission. it features abs, tcs, slope brake all custom tuned to fit the trucks.
Box5diesel very kindly has had the trucks to test and they are of his liking. here is a quote. [read more]

This is the Liebherr LTC 1045-3.1. It's a small compact crane which can lift 45t at close range.
The crane is fully skinable and you can download the PDN files here You are allowed to release new skins onto the repo but please make it a .skinzip!
Be sure you got an up to date RoR version
- Lenni for mapping the whole crane and his tons of work on finishing this project!(Mirrors, flares and N/B fixes!)
- AIN_002 for editing meshes and bug fixes on the N/B
You can also find the controls by the T-screen. (just press T in-game)
Well here it is. The official release of my not-so-official FJ cruiser.
I worked nonstop on this car for a year and a half, and gave up about 6 months ago due to just loss of interest.
I had been talking to some friends recently on the forum who said they would really like to see it tidied up
and released. I dont exactly have some long drawn out story about how it got to where it is. It was really just
a huge learning experience. but finally decided to let it go because I lost all of the original files to the mesh.
I suck at writing. So heres a list. :|
pictures to the left- taken an edited by my main man, Ferrettank!
Known problems are as follows:
Missing quite a few meshes. (Mainly suspension pieces)
Interior is incomplete.
And there is a material bug with it on Deags Trail Island map. For whatever reason, the tires are yellow. I cant figure it out...
This was my first try at animated props, flex tires, and flares, so it is what it is! Hope you enjoy it.
Also, modding, do as you wish, post pics as you wish. I dont really care. But if you'd like to release any of your mods (and credit me ;D), please ask my permission first.
1.5km x 1.5km.
The terrain is set in rural Greece and includes farmland, villages, forests and mountains. There is a long network of dirt and asphalt roads which run throughout the terrain and the various areas of the map complete with signs. An FPS version with reduced vegetation density and distances for use with slower computers is also included which gives a significant increase in performance.
1. Copy .zip and paste it into your RoR terrain folder (such as "C:UsersYOURNAMEDocumentsRigs of Rods 0.38terrains" (Windows 7) 2. Open the .zip and then go to a folder called "+++ Impostors +++", inside you will find a bunch of png files; copy these to wherever RoR stores imposters (default is the root directory - where the ror.exe is).
3. Run RoR and drive
I give permission for anyone to use the objects, textures, sounds and anything else created by me in this .zip for free Rigs of Rods projects provided I, LJFHutch, am credited with their creation. I also give permission to adapt or modify the objects/textures etc to suit your terrain (such as retexturing a tree's leaves, changing the saturation of the grass texture, etc), again, with proper credit and so long as you do not claim to have created them yourself. However, seek my permission for any published modification of this terrain.
Road sign textures - public domain, Swedish Transport Administration.
Normal map shader - Artifex Terra 3D, thanks also to Nipash for helping me out with that.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out, especially DeGa and Nipash.
This is a small, easy to fly helicopter built by HagDeVries ( meshes & textures ) and Lifter ( node/beam, animated dashboard & physics )
The teaser video:
First mission video:
How to fly:
- enter the helicopter
- all engines on ( Ctrl+Home / Strg+Pos1)
- all engines full throttle ( Ctrl+PageUP / Strg+Bild hoch)
- wait for engines reach 100% before lifting off
F1/2: collective Lift control up / down
F3 to F8: Trims. Very helpful for keyboard users, can be used as forward flight cruise control too. ( Info in the T-screen or zoom to the trim indicator on the center console in the cockpit )
F9/10: load-hook UP/DOWN
F11/12: load-hook-cam screen fold/unfold
Arrow-keys / Pfeiltasten for cyclic blade pitch. Forth/Back to dive/climb, Left/Right to strafe
Rudder-keys / Rudertasten for tail rotor pitch (Z/X or Y/X depending on keyboard layout). Tail rotor impact reduces with increasing speed. Just like the real ones.
Ctrl+1/Strg+1: visual laser-scanner for easy pickups. Helps a lot when picking up loads in pilots view using the hook-cam screen.
Ctrl+2/Strg+2: avionic lights
"n": front light ( working flare added for night flights)
"L": operate the hook to grab a load or release it
"o": operate the ties to attach or detach
"ALT-L": release an underbelly attachment ( -> load file)
- fuel consumption..if you run it dry, you kill your engines.
Consumes fuel in flight, refuels when landed AND engines are off.
There is a fuel indicator in the dash ( the green on in the center ) and you will see warning lights.
YELLOW: 50% // RED-Flashing: Get fuel fast!
- custom sounds
- custom wingfoils
- special rotor-head visuals
Swapping textures depending on Engines RPM
- video-screen in the cockpit for easy load pickups in pilots view (use F11/F12 to show)
- laser scanner in the hook for easy load pickups ( use Ctrl+1 / Strg+1 )
- there is a LOAD file in the zip, which contains a base frame for attachments.
It will auto-lock to any helicopter of this series within 3 meters.
You are free to build your own underbelly attachments for this helicopter.
- flexbody skids
- it is NOT crash-able, just built to fly and have fun
- can lift itself:
- Update #1: Contacters added to land on other vehicles
- max external load: 1000 kg, lift-dead max is about 1500 kg+, ( warning indicator in the dashboard )
- Top Speed: 150 knots ( warning indicator in the dashboard ) You will get in serious trouble flying too fast.
This project was built in several hundreds of hours. So please just show some respect to our work and rate it fair.
I decided to release it how it is, and see how it does on peoples computors. I have a pretty basic computor, and it runs fine in both multiplayer and solo. Most people shouldnt have any problems running good FPS on this map. Please dont mod it yet, becuase im gonna keep working on it and upgrading things and release a update in the future.

Starling Island is an island map for Rigs of Rods (tested with v0.38.67), tuned for roleplaying. The map features:
- Port Starling - A large coastal town with docks, a marina, emergency service buildings and lots of nasty, tight corners, everything cramped around Starling bay
- Smaller towns and islands
- A large open mining area that happens to double as a neat spot to wreck vehicles
- An airstrip
- A bus stop network
- Cute details
- 6 Starling Island public service vehicles
- 3 spawn points
- Redeye (terrain, object placement, some objects, vehicle reskins & minor modifications)
- donoteat (Penguinville buildings & roads - much of this map's eye candy heavily relies on his work)
- Betzi (houses)
- Lenni (original Sprinters & Firetruck)
- Arthur Hucksake (original Stepvan)
- Some objects from the stock North St. Helens map have been utilized
- Trees from the stock F1 test track have been utilized
1. Unpack into your Rigs of Rods "terrains" folder
2. Regenerate Cache
3. Have fun!
Please delete your old Starling-Island folder before you install this one.
- Updated the Weasel rescue boat with the new, smoother-handling version
- Converted lots of textures to .dds
- Minor stuff
- Unless bugs or issues with future RoR versions arise, this is considered the "final" Starling Island. Have fun!
Hello. This is the last version for Verniocity, is, the last. No more updates for this, since it has everything now.
The interesting part of this map is that is an urban map, but not a flat map.. Anyway it have a long highway around the map, an offroad course, houses, fire department, so everything that an urban map need.
It have grass, trees, alpha splatting that give a nice look the the map..
Use direct X

This is another version I made for Verniocity. It is compatible with the other one (the original one )
Anyway this version have the city with flood roads. A lot of objects are destroyed and there are trees, bus stops on the road and many other things!
Quite big update, even if everything cannot be seen:
- A big rock
- More trails
- Performance optimization
- Underwater is dark
- Detailled textures reworked
- Better shading
A small island with detailled ground for offroad fun! Try to get on the water near the marina, there is a path there.
You will also find a giant parabolic antenna and an oil buoy inspired by Brent Spar where you can land with an helicopter.
There is also a little rock-crawling trail.
Hope you'll like it
Thanks Lifter for testing
CGtextures for Brent Spar and ground
Map made with L3DT
Diamond Brook is a small town map that I made! I have tested it and it works very well with only one bug where the grass messes up a bit (Not where you can't use it)
I worked very hard on this map and I hope you like it!
This is an skin for Lenni's Man TGS 32.350 LTF 1060 Crane Truck.
I've skinned it to an "Feuerwehr Kran" With the marking 'KW-065'
This is an fictional skin loosely based off real german fire apparatus. [read more]
Since the original thread is locked, here is a repo entry for my 2nd Generation Saf-T-Liner C2.
As an incentive to re-download, I toyed with the transmission a bit to improve power at low speeds and increase the top speed.
Additionally, I corrected some syntax issues, so the bus is now compatible with NextStable 0.4.0.5.
This bus is designed for 0.4 but will still work in 0.38.
The bus features 28 unique combination of options including:
-Different body types
-4x4 offroad setup
A full description of options, controls, and other information can be found in the forum thread here: Thomas-Saf-T-Liner-C2
No public mods of this bus will be allowed, however, you may distribute customized textures (for a company for example).
Main author: graysonk95
Original n/b: Brickman & Dereksh97
Rim meshes: Carsonj493
A few textures: 1999BluebirdFS65
Insults and encouragement: cveilleux, Cbp123, khadner, GoodAndPlenty, sirendude2011, matt815, 09ICCE200, Voulk, saftlinerc2, & ksh4489.
All vehicles have opening hood/doors, and the pickups have opening tailgates also. This helps with making them crash more realistic. Best crash is about 50mph or so IMO. The dually has a 5th wheel hitch, the Ext cab has a bumper pull hitch. The Ext Cab can also load a bobcat in the bed and tie it down.
Place the zip in your packs or vehicles folder and enjoy.
This is another mod to the BoxDodgeRam. This time, it's been modded into a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9L V8 Magnum and the 46RE 4-speed automatic transmission. I fixed the gear ratios and the max speed is 171 MPH, much higher than it was designed to go to. It's also been equipped with a 97dB Ecco back-up alarm and double flashing strobes in the fog lights and brake lights. The tailgate, doors, and hood still move. I updated the file with quieter sounds. All sounds are from my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500
New map that I made with lots of rock crawling trails. A few custom built roads for hauling. A baja race with checkpoints (timer not working), and various desert things. Make shift landing area for planes (just so they weren't left out completely).
This is just a all around useful map for anything really... Enjoy.
Something that started as a simple UV mapping experiment, taking a paper-toy and turning it into a 3D model. It turned into this.
- All dah submeshez!
- Fully depressing interior (With gauges!)
- Upgraded rally wheels!
- Crisp and lifeless suspension, extra unrealistic!
- Crowded rear seat for your friends, roomy boot for your victims!
- Ultra-low-tech emissive file!
- Hot-Wheel-like deformation, for you destruction fans!
I know it might be hard to believe, but this marvel was all made by me. You may begin your accusations of theft immediately.
In all seriousness, you're wasting precious moments of your life by mearly reading this post. If you've made it this far, there's no hope left for you. Should you proceed to be daring enough to actually download the car, you'll regret this day so long you shall live. You've been warned.
This is fall Run, a terrain i started .. i think in the fall here last year! me and it went through some hard times lol but it is finished.
there are a few versions that include a low FPS, FPS a Detailed version that uses a tweaked version of the ETTerrain.material, two races have been added, one on the road and one off.
there's a little something i added in to have fun with and you may see it when you go to load your terrains, just look for slinky :P
i tried a few new things with this terrain, fire particles, other particles, sounds and water and the new material.
credits to haselnut116601 from the Ror forums here for the cat 330c animation, the (ashes48_330c.skeleton) very cool stuff! and i think this will open something new up to new terrains
check the readme for more credits and use of these files.

Edit: I think I can't add a comment, so here's my answer to Magnums question: You won't be able to use this skin then. But everybody can open a .truck file, you don't need a program for that as Windows says you. Tell Windows that you want to open it with your text editor and it will work.

This is my little Suzuki Samurai crawler. It was originally supposed to be a budget rig but as progress went on too much money was spent! The truck is inspired by a seemingly unremarkable drawing i found randomly on the internet but i thought it was cool.
- Beautifully animated leaf springs and double shackles (Rather mesmerizing to stare at while they move.)
- Heavy to extreme rock crawling capabilities.
- Light to medium pre-running capabilities.
- Fully meshed body and various parts including a super nice 4 cylinder engine thanks to Prt_Audiman!
- Custom sounds thanks to Prt_Audiman!
- Hood, doors, and windshield are openable
- Includes 2 main versions
- A civilian model
- A military version with a freely swiveling Browning M1919 Machine gun!
- One with Brown camo and One with Green camo
- V2 versions of the military truck has military wheels and tires!
1-2 crawling low gear ratios
3-7 normal high gear ratios
This is 1989 FSO Polonez 1600 rally car, group A. The last evolution used in FSO works team, pretty slow compared to the previous group B version. Locked or split differential in option, traction control to simulate the limited slip differential when it is set on"split". Shortest used final ratio (5.37).
Update 7/2/15: converted the sounds to mono so that they will change with camera distance, also fixed starter sound, you need to delete the old file before installing this one
I decided to make a 3D model of my favorite school bus (in order to 3D print a 1:160 scale model) and the 3D model came out good, so I decided to use it to make my first vehicle comes with first person view, 72mph top speed (4th gear), interior, and lights; uses the Amtran RE chassis that BlueBirdBusCo started work on; I'm probably going to drive it around a lot because the IC RE is my favorite bus
Things to watch out for:
-the wheels/suspension are really bouncy, so try to take it easy on the bumps
-the turning radius is rather large, typical of a rear engine school bus
-it flips if you turn really hard (obviously)
authors: me (lights, body, interior), BlueBirdBusCo (chassis, sounds) http://youtu.be/C2MZSQhhDEY
EDIT: I got written permission from BlueBirdBusCo, he said it's OK that I used his chassis, please put this back up
